ThomasW I built a clone of your klone using a Tumult and I agree that the 6" port does indeed look cool. The added benefit, of course, is no chuffing at ear-splitting, sinus pounding levels. Even though the model indicated port airspeed may be a problem in my combo, I can still hear no chuffing.

An advantage of the 7.1 channels of the 1014TX is that the two back surround channels can be used to bi-amp your left/right speakers if you only want 5.1. Also, the back channels can be used as channel B amplification for a second room. That is real flexibility.
