Is there a movie out there that I can make my guest naucious this weekend?

Independence Day wasn't mentioned much. The bass in the scene when the ship is approaching earth and it crashes into the satellite is insane. Some of the deepest bass I've ever heard there!! Steve

How many of you have actually had neighbors complain about your HT?

I had one pair of neighbors arrive at my door one night while my girlfriend and I were watching Jurassic Park. They apparently thought there was a T-Rex loose in my house, hehe. Funny thing is, once we invited them in, they stayed to watch the rest of the movie. They don't complain anymore. As a...

Does DTS actually sound better than DD 5.1?

ok, my $.02 DTS in my opinion is a MUCH more dynamic use of audio that just DD. As stated, compression plays a crucial role. On the same token, so does your audio system. With a low-end receiver or separates and low-end speakers, you probably wont notice the difference. However, if you are...

Sony WEGA tv problem. I have sound but no picture :(

Howdy, Does he have an A/V receiver hooked up? What I mean is, if he has a receiver hooked up through an aux cable feed, it is possible to get the sound from the TV through the speakers (AUX setting) and not have the TV on. Just an idea..... Steve

    Boston Acoustic PV-800 Buzzing?

Greetings, No, that didn't help. The PV800 is still making the noise. I suppose it's more of a 'hum' than a buzz. Had no problems with the old sub prior, so I know it's not a connection or power outlet. I heard a few other people had this problem with this particular subwoofer. I emailed...

    Boston Acoustic PV-800 Buzzing?

Hi, I just got my Boston Acoustic PV-800 sub today. Originally, I thought I was doing a good thing and actually upgrading from my old Boston Acoustic PV-600. Two things I notice right off the bat: 1) It seems a heck of alot 'quieter' (or less presence) on the same level and settings as my...

opinions on klipsch reference 7 speakers?

If you are going to listen to the music you described, they will fit well. Mine should be arriving in a few days. When I went to demo them, they had a Mariah Carey CD on. Being she has such a wide vocal range, the speakers complimented her voice almost perfectly (or did her voice compliment the...

    Sony Wega graininess

Hello, I've had this Sony Wega 27FS17 for 2 months now. I like it alot and have gotten quite used to it. However, when I went 'browsing' at the department store the other day, I noticed that the Wega's in comparison to other brands have quite a grainy screen. I guess being used to it, I...

    Help- 16:9 newbie question

Hello, This is probably a common question here, but I could not find the answer through a search. I am looking in the next few months for a 16:9 widescreen TV for the house. Obviously for widescreen DVD's, this is ideal. Now, what happens if for example, you are watching regular TV on it...
