    DELL 37" LCD TV

I was looking at the same set a few months ago. My options were limited since I was trying to fit the largest screen possible into an armoire in our living room, which meant the smallest case reveal around the edges and no speakers. After exhaustive research, I went with a Panasonic TH37PWD8UK...

    Denon 2200 problem

Well, I got a hold of someone at Denon, and they are going to honor the warranty even though it's two weeks past. They gave me the number of the repair facility in Carson CA, and I called them yesterday. Got a return auth number, and mailed it out. Should take 5 business days until it is sent...

    Denon 2200 problem

The movie was Princess Diaries. I then tried Master and Commander (my own disc). I am going to try a couple more discs today, but I know that M&C should work since I've watched it before.

    Denon 2200 problem

Thanks for your comments! I called eCost, and their warranty is just 14 days, but they gave me a number for the Denon service center (90 day manufacturer warranty). I called them and was told that their only authorized to repair/replace units 5 days past warranty (I am now 13 days past). Ugh...

    Denon 2200 problem

I bought a refurbished 2200 back in June from eCost, and since then it has been working great. That is, until yesterday. My wife and daughter were watching a movie while I was at work, and about 3/4 of the way through, the movie froze. She couldn't get it out of the freeze (stop, forward...

    Amp always on. Ok?

Thanks! I was thinking that it was okay to do, but your replies make me feel that much better about it. And I appreciate the suggestion on the ratchack trigger. I may get that at some point, although my system seems to be running really well right now and I kinda don't want to start poking...

    Amp always on. Ok?

A little background...I have a Denon 3802 that runs my 5.1 home theater, and a separate amp (Parasound RCA-750A) that powers 3 pairs of ceiling speakers in other rooms our home using the multi-zone feature of the 3802. I was originally going to use the 6th and 7th channels on the 3802 to do...

    New to Avia Calibration

That makes more sense to have the sub measure around 80db. I had gone ahead and bumped it up to around there anyway because it seemed a bit lifeless when I was trying to match the other speakers exactly. Thanks for the advise.

    New to Avia Calibration

I am hoping to get some feedback as to whether or not I am setting up my audio calibration correctly. I have a Denon 3802 running Energy Take 5.2's with the 8 inch sub. My room is 13x20 or so, and I have the sub in the front left corner, about 4 feet from the front speakers and tv. Starting...

Best flat wire for rear surrounds?

Thanks for the help. I'm glad to hear that the 16AWG should work fine. That was my biggest concern, and I didn't want to put it in and have it be wrong. I'll definately check out Parts Express, Radio Shack and JSC. Thanks again...this forum is great!

Best flat wire for rear surrounds?

I am hoping to get some opinions/suggestions for the best flat wire to run to my rear surrounds. My room is about 25 feet long, and I would like to run the wire under the carpet and up the walls to each speaker, then spackle and/or paint it so it is "hidden". I have the Energy Take 5.2 satellite...

Too much receiver for Energy Take 5.2's?

Thanks for the quick replies. I was hoping that was the case since the 3802 seems to be such an step up from the 2802. Now I just need to sneak the extra money by the wife.

Too much receiver for Energy Take 5.2's?

My first post... I have a set of Energy Take 5.2's with the 8" sub, and am looking to upgrade from an older H/K DD receiver. My search has included mainly Onkyo, H/K, Yamaha and Denon, and I finally thought I had it narrowed down to the Denon 2802. But with all the talk on this site about the...
