Hello, I am pretty sure my DirecTV contract is up again, so I'm wondering what some people have managed to get out of retention. I wouldn't mind another tivo, and maybe some credit. Anyone gotten some retention deals lately? Thanks, Dan

Thomas, the $1000 is for the speakers alone, but the lower the better, as it allows for a better amp, DVD player, etc. One again, thank you all for your help. Like someone said in the beginning of this post, it's gonna take a lot of time to soak up all this information...but I'll do it! :) Thanks!

Yeah, the price max is probably about $1G. I'm not really the kind of person who will be able to tell the difference between a $1000 speaker and a $2000 speaker, I just want good sound for my theater uses. I think the Take 5.2 or the NSP-1 is kinda the area I want to look in. Thanks!

Well, I don't know what to say. I was looking at the Acoustimass 15 set and thinking about getting that. I thought the audio would be top-of-the-line, but from what I've read on this forum, Bose is certainly not the way to go. But here's the question... What is? I really don't know high-end...

Well, that's a good question. We really can't get anything too big down there, but it's kind of hard to describe how we already got some couches down.
