I'm with Eric, I have rope lighting behind my crown molding and around my riser and sconces on the walls. I dim both and they give off plenty of light for game watching. My can lights stay off except for cleaning and the rope/sconce lights get dimmed off for movies. Look for X10 remote dimmers...

Tomas, my room is 19.5 X15.5 and I have easy seating for 8. PLus I have a 123" diagonal 16x9 screen. You should have no trouble with what you are planning. My pics are in my signature link below. I only have couches for 6 but more than enough room for 2 extra chairs.

Well, to really answer the question we need to know what you plan on doing with the windows. Do you still want to be able to use them, or do you just want to block all light coming form them in a semi permanent manner. If you still want to use them, I think you'll have to go buy some blackout...

13 feet is too far, I only sit 10' from my 123" screen. I used to sit 8 ft from my 61" RPTV and that was a fine distance.

Thanks Ricardo, no Dennis did not design my theater. I did all the work myself. Of course I used alot of other peoples pictures as inspiration for my own so his influence might have been in there somewhere. I like to think of it as my interpretation of many others ideas:emoji_thumbsup:
