    what stereo speakers between $800-$1000?

I'm looking for a pair of stereo speakers that later I can complement with a complete HT speakers set. I still don't have an AV receiver but will probably buy it at the same time (already left a post in the Receivers forum). My budget is between $800-$1000 for the pair of speakers. Thanks.

what to look for in a good receiver?

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I'm looking for an AV receiver and a set of speakers. I'd like to know what features should I look for in a receiver (like what THD, inputs/outputs, sound features, etc). Thanks.
