Texas plane crash, embittered pilot vs. the IRS

I can sympathize with 'rage against the machine'. I can sympathize with someone who wants to end it all. I have NO sympathy for someone who decides to take out innocent people.

    Letter from Citibank

I (and a buncha others I know) just received an interest increase letter for the credit cards we hold at the local credit union. My guess regarding the interest and fee increases is that the credit card companies are prepping for the new regulations that are due to take effect (not sure when)...

Single car accident - insurance claim question

Glad you are OK. If you have an insurance agent, give him/her a call. They are usually quite helpful and sympathetic to your needs. They should be able to give you options on how to proceed, without telling the 'home office' unless you wish to file a claim.

your credit score: what will you do?

I second the notion of finding a credit union. The credit union I belong to was only for company employees back in the day. I guess the law on who could join was changed a while back. Now anyone who lives, works, or worships in the county can join. I have a no-fee Visa that I pay off every...

WTF ... WTF ? Fox puts a camera in the field of play and no one tells them to move it before the game ? I've read that the umps walk the field before the game to look the place over and talk about the ground rules. That should have been fixed before the game started. WTF is with the umps in...

We got Joba, we got Phil Hughes, we got Damaso Marte, we got Phil Coke, etc. Who gets the call when the game is on the line ? A balding almost 40 year old with one pitch that's about 3 or 4 mph slower than it used to be. I LOVE IT ! All of a sudden Girardi is a genius because Mo can get him 6...

They'd be better off complaining about Hughes. He licks his fingers (off the mound) after every pitch. I hereby nominate Kate Hudson for rookie of the year [/url] Hey, Eric (and Lew)... Here's what a lot of people are talking about today... I think there's certainly nothing conclusive...

Yanks being in the post season is a 'win-win'. You get the New York market as well as the ex-pat New Yorkers scattered around the country. You get the Yankee fans as well as the Yankee haters. These are the same reasons the Yanks draw so well on the road. Baltimore/Toronto are somewhat...

Congrats to Derek Jeter on breaking the all time Yankee hit record. If the fates allow, he should be able to get to 3K in the early part of the 2011 season (crosses fingers ) Maybe now the Yanks can get back to 'business'. I'm a rabid Yankee fan who bleeds pinstripes but the media coverage of...

The ball strikes the player while he is in the batter's box, that is a foul ball. For the batter to be out by contacting the ball, the ball would have to be in fair territory (ground ball hitting a runner in the base path, for example).

Helluva game, glad the Yanks won. Neither team deserved to lose (or win for that matter). The art of spotting pitching talent still amazes me. Yanks dump $40M down the Igowa hole in the ground and then someone manages to get Aceves out of the Mexican leagues for almost nothing. 4.5 game lead...
