I'll be running a couple of 20A circuit for the home theater i'm building in my basement. My question is, do i still need to use 20A outlets (the one with the T prong)? I don't have any equipment, nor do i forsee ever having any equipment, that is actually draws 20A. I'm just unsure if i should...
Parker, sorry, but i've never had to return any items to either vendor, so i never really needed to check out their return policies. I would be very surprised if B&H did not have a good return policy. Same with TigerDirect, but as i've had much less dealing with them i can't say it with as much...
Thanks, i was curious about non-anamorphic DVDs on this projector. Can anyone comment on how they look? I'm also interested in knowing how black and white movies look... Ron, have you viewed any B&W material (I'm particularly interested in The Man Who Wasn't There as this is a beautifully shot...
Excellent Ron, thanks! I've been anxious to see your theater since the changes. (BTW, good choice of beer! Sierra Nevada makes some great beers; i especially like their Celebration Ale)
Sorry Robert, i must have ordered the last L200u w/ free screen from ProjectorPeople. I placed my order on 6/30 and was able to get the screen. The very next day, they no longer have the projector in stock, or the screen.
Yeah, that's what i would have thought. I didn't think it was out that long. Maybe it's just that projectorpeople is out of stock and they don't plan on restocking it.
Has anyone heard anything about this projector (the L200u) being discontinued? I ordered it yesterday from ProjectorPeople.com but today it's shown as a discontinued item. I'll be real disappointed if the 200u is replaced with a better version for the same price in the very near future.
I would think that the first thing you do when completing the HT would be watching some DVDs! ;) Anyway, it looks very nice. I can see one spending many many quality hours in there. I especially like your built in equipment and DVD racks.
I just wanted to share that i just purchased this projector from ProjectorPeople.com. Thanks to all the glowing reviews in this thread, i'm very excited about my purchase. I wanted to order it by the 30th so i could get the free screen. I can't wait to go through some of the fun stuff that you...
Exellent pictures! I really appreciate them, because i'm going to start framing my basement soon for my HT, and since i've never framed before, i was curious how i was going to get around some obstacles in the ceiling - with all the framing pictures you had, i think i know how to do it now...
Thanks everyone. It sounds that for the small amount of extra work required to frame this way, it's worth doing. I realize there are other factors at play here (i don't have a lot of the other issues mentioned), but i guess every bit helps. I'm not really going for 100% soundproofing anyway, i'm...
I'll be framing out my basement soon, and in reading some books, i've seen the use of using a 2x6" top and bottom pates with staggered 2x4" studs. Is this an efficient soundproofing method that is not too hard to do? Thanks!
I don't have anything constructive to add other than to say i think you have a fantastic looking design, and i can't wait to see our theater when it's finished. I've bookmarked it so i can check back on it!
Very nice review. This is one of the projectors i'm seriously considering. It seems like there are a lot of happy customers out there. Is there any reason to choose the 1HD over the Z1 or vica versa?
I can pick this up from www.shoponkyo.com for $322 shipped. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Is there any reason why I should stay away from this refurbished version, or this receiver in general? I've been eyeing this receiver (along with others in it's class) for a while, but couldn't...
Quote from the movie (paraphrased because i'm terrible with remembering quotes):
"The Polaris Mine is capable of removing [some ungodly number] tons of salt from the ocean a day"
"Wow! All that salt! Think of what it would mean to the starving countries!"
I love this movie! So many great...
