The shrink wrap was different then most games come with. It felt cheaper and the corners weren't tucked either. Maybe I'll take it back to walmart with the wrapper so they can compare the difference in the wrappers. If worse comes to worse my father in law said he would take it back and...
Well I called Walmart and they said they would not take responsibility because they only Sell the game. Talk about a load of crap. They said I must contact Midway, which I have, I'm just waiting for them to get back with me. I don't want to wait 9 weeks to mail them the game and receive a new...
I received Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance for the xbox yesterday (Christmas). Well this is the only game I received so naturally I was eager to play it when I got back to the house. I opened up the "factory sealed" case and what do I find? Well there was no game DVD, and a manual for Madden 2002...
BTW.. make sure your screen saver is off, and try not to use your PC much during the defrag process. Defrag will continually restart from either of these.
You can't format your HDD and leave the OS untouched. First off I would try running "chkdsk /f" from a command prompt, then run defrag. It's possible it's slowing down because your HDD is fragmented.
Thanks for the replies! I was curious about the cable splicing because I have seen many cables going from VGA to Component but maybe that only works with specific hardware? Then again I know ATI makes a VGA to Component adapter that does not look like it would convert the signals based on the...
Hey everyone.. I'm in the process of collecting stuff I need to hook my PC up to my HDTV monitor. I have a couple of questions though. First off a background on my PC. XP 1700+ @1.67 ASUS A7N266-C (built in Dolby Digital) 256MB PC2100 WD 40GB 7200RPM Leadtek GF4 Ti4200 64MB Leadtek...
I tripple checked the connection and it is still doing this. It seems like it's only when there is a lot of movement on the screen. When the screen is sitting still it doesn't do it, but when there is a lot of movement (DOA3 when you do a big move and a big explosion happens, etc..) is when...
Ok.. after seeing this thread I figured it only ran in 480p but I wanted to make sure that even though I had it set to 1080i it would automatically adjust.
If Madden only supports 480i and 480p then if it was run under 1080i on the xbox wouldn't the picture be distorted? I'm asking because I did set my xbox to 1080i and the picture was just amazing, that is unless the xbox will automatically switch back to 480p even after I set it at 1080i...
Madden 2002 supports 1080i, but from my understanding the xbox and games actually do an upconversion to 1080i so it's not a true 1080i. Can anyone back me up on this or set the record straight?
Last night I rearranged my living room, moving the HT and xbox to a differen't wall. Well, I also rented Simpsons Road Rage last night for the heck of it. While this is an awful game, I did notice I had green and red streaks shoot across my tv screen while playing the game, and most of the...
I heard that supposedly GTA3 was going to be yanked from the shelves because one of the last missions semi pertains to the Sept. 11 incident. Is this true? I hope not because I'm waiting for the xbox version.
Thanks for the replies!
It sounds like I will be going with the Microsoft HD Kit, especially since it is $30 less, I already have a component cable for it, so I will just need the Optical cable and I guess I will be set.
Ok... I won a bid on an Xbox, 7 games (Silent Hill2--Amped--Halo--SSX Tricky--NBA 2002--NHL 2002--Madden 2002) and the DVD playback hardware. I got a killer deal on it so I'm extremely happy. So here's the question.
Is there any advantage to using the Monster Component cable as opposed to...
Hey everyone..
I have a couple questions about the xbox. First off, is the quality of the DVD playback any good? Right now I have a stand alone DVD player (non progressive scan) and I'm just wondering if I'll see any differences in the quality (I plan on building a HTPC with Progressive Scan...
Well I was basically forced to get another tv from them because they would only give me store credit. So I went ahead and splurged for a more expensive tv, but you can bet I'm not going to be buying the service plan for $300.
I'm going through something similar right now. I purchased a Sony 43" open box. After 2 weeks of owning it I noticed the picture just flat out sucked so I called best buy to see about exchanging it since it was still within the 30 days. Turns out the model was discontinued and they said I...
Scott,
I'm pretty limited on space as well, but my main concern was do I really need a 12" sub to go along with the speakers? I'm trying to decide between the 10 and 12 and I'll probably end up going with the 10. Any specific reason you were going to go with the 12?
I bought this tv around 3 weeks ago. So far I like it alot. The picture is great (to my standards at least) and it doesn't take up much room either. My one suggestion would to be buy the stand that goes with it. It raises the tv up off the ground and allows for it to be level with your...
