BTW.. make sure your screen saver is off, and try not to use your PC much during the defrag process. Defrag will continually restart from either of these.

You can't format your HDD and leave the OS untouched. First off I would try running "chkdsk /f" from a command prompt, then run defrag. It's possible it's slowing down because your HDD is fragmented.

Ok.. after seeing this thread I figured it only ran in 480p but I wanted to make sure that even though I had it set to 1080i it would automatically adjust.

Madden 2002 supports 1080i, but from my understanding the xbox and games actually do an upconversion to 1080i so it's not a true 1080i. Can anyone back me up on this or set the record straight?
