Ok geesh, this one is a real stumper. I tried some banana plugs on the existing run of Monster XP..no go. I cannot even get the speaker to come on at ALL now. I tried a brand new length of Monster XP..still dead! I think I might just take the speaker back to Tweeter and get a new one.
I just picked up the 5 Omnisat + LF150 system. I have it hooked up via Monster XP cable (bare wire, no connectors) to a Denon AVR-3200. Basically the problem is my front-right speaker does not work half the time..and when it does, it sounds muffled until I give it a good amount of volume...
I can get a killer deal on a new X1 so I was trying to figure out what kind of screen to get to complement it. Here are my requirements: - Would be used for nearly exclusive DVD viewing with some Xbox/GameCube/HDTV viewing in the future most likely. - wife demands it be an electric screen...
We are moved in and I'm about ready to purchase some speakers! I'm still leaning towards starting with the Mirage Omnisat's + LF150 to see how it works in the room. I can get a deal on them (or anything else from Tweeter) at 10% above cost and I can always return them and try something different...
I'm moving in to a new condo in a couple of months. I will be replacing most of my old gear with new equipment and would like some advice. I've made a diagram of the floorplan with a couple of pics of what the room looks like to help give an idea what I'm up against. It is a very open...

DVD--->TIVO--->TV
The DVD player is hooked up to the Tivo via svideo and stereo analog inputs. Same with the connection from the Tivo to the TV. Cable TV...
My in-laws just bought one from Costco and when we hooked it up it had a small pair of yellow and purple stripes in the lower right corner like in the diagram below where the / is.

I just moved and I got a three inch long scratch/scrape on the protective screen of my SDP-5795W. It is very noticable on certain viewing material so I want to do what I can do get rid of it short of replacing the protective screen($246 + $47 shipping quoted by Pioneer). Any recommendations?
