I am not lucky enough to have a room in my house that is perfect for home theater (yet) so I have setup my home theater in my family room and currently run a Klipsch Quintet 5.1 speaker setup powered by a Denon 3802 receiver. The family room is open directly to the kitchen so there is no back...
I have had my 3802 receiver for a few months now and have taken the time to program it (learn) other remotes. It works well (still saving for a Pronto or MX500), but I just noticed that when I turn the backlight function on I am not able to control any other components (DVD, TV, etc). Is this a...
I have been tweaking the service menu for the past few weeks to try and help with the 16x9 image on my 4x3 Sony KV-32FV27 TV. I can adjust the HSIZ and the VSIZ which makes the image while watching movies bigger, but then I flip back to watch TV and I have to re-adjust the sizes. I have set the...
I am looking to install outdoor speakers and it will be easier for me to run the speaker wire out the side of the house and around to the back. Is any speaker wire considered weather proof?
Thanks for your help.
The horizontal lines the entire length of the tube. They start at the top of the screen and are spaced about 1 inch apart and run all the way to the bottom.
I just bought the KV-32FV27 and when comparing that to the FS this is what I found as the difference.
1. 3D Digital Comb Filter compared to a 3 line Digital Comb Filter
2. Better speakers 15w x 2 vs 10w x 2
3. Wireless headphones
4. Smart Sound
That's all I can remember
I tried to search for this, but could not find anything.
I am actually doing some research for a neighbor of mine who has a 27" Sony Flat screen. Not sure of the exact model, but it is probably 4 years old and still has a great picture. Here is the issue... When watching TV and the picture...
I bought one and through a mix up I ended up with 2. The extra unit that is for sale is still factory sealed. Asking $700, but I might be able to bend a little. I am also very interested in a Pronto TSU2000 so I am willing to bargin as part of the deal.
I originally had the 2802, but upgraded to the 3802 after 2 weeks. The main reason for my upgrade is I can run 5.1 for movies and use the 6th and 7th channel for my outdoor speakers without having to add an amp.
I have an extra 3802 never opened if you are in the market.
I wanted a Denon 3802 and and for some reason, I won't go into detail, it turns out that I ended up with 2 of them. I have 1 set up in my family room, but the other is still in the box never opened. Is it worth holding onto or should I try and sell it?
The back of my 3802 only has the one Red Subwoofer output which I am plugging the cable into, but on the Sub itself I have a matching Red input and a White LFE input. Which one should I use?
Just bought a 3802 and have not experienced the sound you are talking about. I just upgraded from an old Pro Logic Denon and I absolutly love Denon and the 3802. I wouldn't change a thing.
I've searched what I could, but am I to understand that the only way to get PIP with DiretTV is to use 2 receivers? I have a Phillips DSR6000 which has 2 Inputs, but is that only for Tivo so I can watch 1 show and record another?
I too am setting up my new Home Theater, but I have 2 additional questions. 1. Are the surround speakers the same as the rear? And if they are, my second question is this. A few of you have mentioned that you point them directly at each other. Doesn't this method cause poor sound when the...
Bobby,
I picked up a set of the Klipsch Quintets to run with my new Denon. I was looking at the Reference Series also, but the Home Theater is going into our Family Room so I couldn't take up to much space.
I to thank everyone for all of their help. I have actually made up my mind and I am going with the Denon 2802. The 3802 has a little more still have an old Denon 1200 Pro Logic receiver that I have never had any problems with so I'm sure upgrading to the 2802 will put a nice smile on my face.
I was at a local shop the other day looking at new receivers and they were pushing the Sony DB or ES line. I had asked them about Denon because I have an old Denon Pro-Logic that I like and this guy claims that they used to carry Denon until they began experiencing receivers overheating and...
I would like to thank the both of you for your help on my issue. I was hoping to get some more help from the group, but I guess that do to the fact I can't spend $1500 on a receiver I am being overlooked.
Once again, thanks for your help.
John,
Thanks for the input. I still am having a tough time deciding on what to do, but will look into the 2801. I figured that I would get some more insight some this forum, but I guess unless I am will to spend the big bucks I am overlooked by most.
Once again, thanks for your help.
Looking to finally make the move from Pro Logic to DD and don't have the $$ to spend on super high end receivers. Based on receivers priced around $800 I have narrowed it down to the Denon and Sony.
Does anyone have any insight on either. Please help the new kid.
I am new to the Forum and very impressed with what I have seen so far. I am also new to having a decent home theater and would like some info on hardware. I am upgrading my current Pro-Logic Denon receiver, JBL Fronts and Infinity rears with all new equipment, but don't have thousands of $$$...
