When I write, I don't care about the type of pen, but when I start a story I need to use the same pen all the way through or until the pen runs out of ink. Just a little quirk of mine. My wife has heard: "Where the F***k is my PEN?!" more than a few times. :D
Liked it. But would rank it probably 4th in all the Trek movies overall. The whole Spock-as-momma's-boy thing just didn't work for me, although that was really the only thing that stood out along the way watching it, the others came afterward. Since it's all been covered here nicely, won't go...
I listen to 2-channel music all the time and my sub works nicely. The only thing I can think of is that you haven't changed it from LARGE to SMALL, which it defaults to after using the microphone.
Was really surprised by how excellent this one looked, on both my bedroom plasma and the HT projector! And the sound was no slouch either. Went from rental to purchase immediately.
My thoughts on the ending...in spoilers As a parent, it hit me like a punch in the gut! It was wrenching! And it worked for me. Reminded me of the bleak ending from 70's movies, ie Electra Glide in Blue, Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry, Race With the Devil, and at the time we were in the middle of a...
I can't believe it, but CE3K is one of the few movies that still evokes an emotional response from me after all these years. Seeing Roy look back before going up the ramp just gets to me, and John Williams fantastic score at that point is simply perfect.
My wife was laughing like crazy at Grandpa "pole" vaulting, while I was simply grimacing at every leap. My wife is Asian, and her father used to be a lot like that guy. It isn't a unique situation. Pink + "Goth" = Poth!
This week's episode is the season finale?! Again? ALREADY?! I know they're bringing out the spin off in January, but how many episodes were in this year's Ghost Hunter's season?
Watched about an hour "live" on Halloween, and will get through the rest this weekend. Wrestlers. Sheesh. And the new girl is making this show worth catching every week. C-U-T-E!
Gonna DVR the Halloween show tomorrow. Still watching, via DVR, and laughed a bit at the Seattle stuff; obviously no one told them about the various things seen in the Pike Place Market, or else they got the cold shoulder from the place.
Myself, as I've stated in another thread, by the time Laurie crossed the street I was too into the movie to notice the color of doors, etc.. For those not getting it because of color schemes...too bad, you're missing out.
Read your post over at AVS, Dave. Going to watch this one again tomorrow morning (with the original track) and watch that kitchen in particular. But like I wrote earlier, to me it seems right down the middle on the two mentioned versions, but the fact it is HD could disguise the Divi-look to an...
I wouldn't get rid of my other editions of Halloween either, and am thinking of grabbing that Divi edition of Halloween 4, as I actually don't own anything past Halloween III.
This one seems to be right in the middle, color-timing wise. It isn't as startling in changes as the Divi edition, but also isn't like the so-called "Cundey approved" edition. Yes, I own all the DVD editions. But also, the very nature of HD makes all the green in the daylight scenes POP, and for...
Watched Halloween last night. Since I've seen this upconverted recently, the upgrade wasn't startling, but the subtle details that are seen (I've watching this movie so many times I can't recall the exact number of viewings) did make me go: "Oh wow, never seen that before." And you truly...
Better than that hidious Till Death afterward! The daughter thing seemed like something they should have dragged out after mid-season, not the first episode, but I'll stick with it for a few more episodes.
