Here's an interview with Charisma interview link not much is really given away but she definitely makes it sound like it was completely ME's decision rather than hers.

BBC America TV rules!! (The Office and Coupling)

A second series of Ultraviolet was planned but they put it on hold because key production staff were involved in a proposed US remake. The remake never got made and by that time there had been a long gap, people where involved in other projects... Jack Davenport was also in This Life -...

Re-Makes Considered Better Than the Originals?

I have just been discussing this with a friend and we've come to the conclusion that the remakes that are better tend to be a second (or third or whatever) adaptations from common source material. e.g. Wizard of Oz Lord of the Rings The Thing (again!) Maltese Falcon Ben Hur too many...

Just finished watching the Coupling pilot episode (US version)

If it's any consolation to you guys it's a two-way street. I've seen British attempts at Married with Children, Golden Girls, That 70s Show and most recently Scrubs - all of which were pretty awful.

Showtime's "Dead Like Me" - season 1 discussion

I absolutely loved the pilot. My enthusiasm has waned slightly with the last two episodes but it's still very watchable. I'd like to see George bond more with the rest of the group. Right now, it seems like everything is going wrong for her - dead, stuck in 2 jobs she hates, unable to go back...

Legally Blonde 2 appears to be a loose re-make of that.

What is the punchline to joke in Breakfast Club?

I heard Judd Nelson just made it up on the day. There is no punchline as such. Although as he falls through the floor it sounds like he's saying "no sh*t" - which almost works as a punchline

What movie is this?Statue smiles-woman screams

Could it have been a ventriloquist's doll rather than a statue? If so you may be talking about Devil Doll (1964) IMDB entry

Jason, It's interesting that you say that having seen the movie itself, because I understood from this thread that there's been a fair amount of re-writes since the script I read.

    "WOW!" Moments in the Movies

Well, being in the UK, I haven't had the opportunity to see this yet. Although presumably like PG1 we'll get it eventually. What I have done is downloaded the winning script - which I just read last night. So I can comment on that. It is a good script but it definitely needs work. I found...
