Jean, i also have an LG LST-3510A. i have it connected to a sceptre naga iii 30" lcd via vga, component, and dvi. i find that the best picture is via the vga connection. component is also as good, but on daylight scenes where there is a blue sky, i see quite a bit of macro-blocking. i don't see...
thanks for all the replies. haven't checked my computer since yesterday. it going to be a back yard patio 6 inch slab. roughly a 20 foot dimater circle. we are thinking about a large 14-16 foot diameter gazebo with a tile roof or a very large fountain- 12 foot diameter. i know the fountain is...
i'm having some concrete decking put in. i asked the contractor to put in #4 rebar but he says that #3 should be fine. he says that it is harder to evenly pour over #4 because of the thickness. we plan on putting some heavy marble and concrete furniture, fountain, etc. i'm worried about...
everything said above is true- they are very difficult to place, they require lots of power, and they have a very narrow sweet spot. i own a pair of sl3's and run them in a two channel system. they are very revealing speakers- garbage in equals garbage out. because many movies are mixed on the...
i performed the windows update on my two computers -one with windows xp and an older one with windows ME. the xp computer is fine however i noticed that under the MY PICTURES folder/viewer on the windows ME machine, the thumbnail image previews are no longer shown. any suggestions? thanks.
Brian, i have the n804's and htm-1 and i have the upgrade bug too- want the n802's. i think if you want to upgrade, go for the gusto and get the n802's. you won't need to upgrade anymore. for home theater though, i think the n802's are probably overkill, but they sure look cool! high-end audio...
i would recommend that you wait until the htm-1 breaks in- at least 100-200 hours before you make any decisions to upgrade. i had the opportunity to listen to the n805, n804, n803, n802 all in the same listening room with the same equipment. i felt that the jump from the 805 to the 804's was...
try to find ponares oil. mix it with normal saline and squirt it in both nostrils 2-3x's per day. i use it in my nosebleed patients. it works very well.
finally taking the plunge (no pun intended) and we are getting a new pool. does anyone have any experience with those automatic pool covers? also, does anyone have any recommendedation for a pool builder- good quality but decent price. i live in san bernardino county in southern california. thanks.
what is your listening preference? mostly home theater or two channel music? i own a pair of martin logan SL3's and i did audition the vienna acoustics beethoven speakers. in my opinion if you are into home theater i wouldn't go with the martin logans. they have a very narrow sweet spot and...
angelo, this is how balanced power works. this excerpt is from the BPT website. Why balanced power? Standard AC systems have three conductors: Hot [120V]; Neutral [0V tied to ground]; and Ground. This scheme was developed over a century ago, mainly to deliver safe power for electrical...
i would not throw balanced power into the "snake oil" category. it is a legitimate product; balanced power is even written into the electrical code. there are various manufacturers (BPT, furutech, equitech to name a few) of balanced power products and the price quoted in the review is pretty...
chris, the seventh cranial nerve has different branches all originating from the same brain stem nucleus. when bell's palsy occurs the inside of the nerve degenerates which is usually caused by a viral infection. the outside of the nerve is intact- think of it as a cable with only the insulation...
jeff, you may want to try gargling with hydrogen peroxide. that may sometimes decrease the frequency of the stone production. if that doesn't work your only choice is to either live with it or have your tonsils removed. depending on your insurance company a tonsillectomy may not be covered for...
i know partsexpress.com carries a short adaptor of flat coax cable for running under a window but i haven't seen any long runs though. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshow...number=180-206
my advice would be to plug your amp directly into the wall not through a power conditioner. i have found that some power conditioners limit the current to amps. give it a try. you may find your soundstage widening with the extra power.
the cord doesn't get hot. i called parasound- the cord is 12 gauge, so i don't think either cable should limit any power. i made a ten gauge power cable with a marinco iec and plug. i'll do some experimenting this weekend.
i'm currently running b&w nautilus 804's and htm1 center channel with a parasound halo c2 pre/pro with an a-51 amp. i just added a balanced power technology bp-2 unit to my system. all my components except the amp are plugged into the balanced power unit. the bp-2 and amplifier are both running...
i am running b&w nautilus 804's and htm1 with the parasound halo c2 and a51 amp. i have no intentions of replacing either parasound product- they are awesome. i was previously running an outlaw 950 pre/pro with an aragon amplifier- i found that combination kind of harsh in the high end. i've...
thanks guys for all the suggestions. going to europe is not really an option for me right now. i'll try cutter motors. kyle, i agree with you; i think the look of the 2004 530i is much sexier than the 2003 model. the only thing i don't like is that damn idrive- wish i could order the 2004 model...
i tried carsdirect.com- unfortunately the lowest they will go is $1,0000 under msrp. edmunds lists tmv pricing the same as msrp. i have gone to numerous dealers, but no one will go under msrp. i guess this car is too new. doh!
mike, try auditioning both- your ears will tell you what you like. martin logans and b&w's have completely different sounds. martin logans: beam the sound to your ears. it's like you are in the first row at a concert. very revealing speakers- play a lousy recording and it will sound lousy...
i would go for the b&w's. i currently own both martin logans (sl3's) and b&w n804's. i love the martin logans for two channel audio, but i did not like them for home theater. i found that with movies the logans were beaming sound with a very narrow dispersion. i could not achieve a smooth...
i am new to video capturing so pardon the newbie question. i just captured some video using the windows media 9 encoder. what software can i use to edit out commercials. thanks.
