Seems like the Onix Rockets has been in planning for a long time. That threat of lawsuit must have been in place for quite a while. How come the snoops in the competing company didn't leak this out to us? Heck, Magneplanar sued the pants out of Apogee on their ribbon tweeter patent and put...
Is the closing down of the shell corporation Diva for the purpose of stopping a lawsuit on its tracks due to it not existing anymore? If so, how can Diva speakers be supported unless there was another sleigh of hand transaction where Onix bought the rights of Diva's inventory and various other...
Does it matter how it sounds when the gound below you is opening up? Just make sure you strap all your subs together so they don't fall down into that pit.
If you are listening to music and you are not hearing the sub, then you are not listening to it loud enough. Go to your subwoofer and...
The Hsu I have is the 10V used for the center channel, which is a really old sub (but it doesn't rust,) and that was before many people around here started using their rusted out 500 gal moonshine still (perfect for sub, hole on top for port, rusted bottom removed for driver (drivers are...
I have heard SVS, single, dual, head to head, stacked, side by side, one firing to each ear, one w/woofer & one w/port facing the back of the head. Any method you can think of, we've tried it. The could shake the barn. But nothing compared to pappy's sub down at the trail, where he converted...
Seperating the thread was good for findind the SVSub praises. I use to have to sift through TV size, component cable, "DPLII rules", 7ch vs 6ch vs 5ch vs 2ch, DTS/DD war, "why THX", DVD-A/SACD war, "which receiver..." just to find the SVS threads. There were maybe 1 thread in 10 that was SVS...
I don't want to go through threads talking about dipole/monopole, center channel, avia setup, surround placement or anything about other subwoofers just to get to threads about SVSubwoofers.
I want a seperate section just for SVsubwoofers so I could read nothing but how good the SVSubs are...
I had this great tweak before, it was those leather ears that one wears outside one's own ear (forgot what it was called.) All of a sudden, imaging became much better, the imageless imaging of the Bose 901 in the local low-fi/washing machine shop suddenly became less imageless. Although it did...
The only limitation to a small room is the fact you cannot pile up as many SVS's in the same corner before it overflows out of the corner and into the rest of the area.
If you have a 12x10 room, you could probably squeeze 9 SVS's (3x3) in the same corner before you don't have a room anymore...
I thought people don't buy anything but SVS?
Anyway, with a retail store, people would be able to demo a SVS sub, they could even bring in their old Sansuii receiver with that big rotary AM/FM tuning knob to see if they could power it.
As far as customer service, you guys must imply places...
Why is subwoofer not a seperate section?
I don't want to browse through useless stuff about dipole/tripole/mypole when all I want to do is read how good the SVS subwoofers are.
SACD/DSD is inheritly inferior because since its is always operating on its LSB, there is no way to add dither to the system w/o overloading it. And w/o dither, there will be various undesired artifact.
Dither during recording and playback allows information smaller than the LSB be recorded...
