I just picked up an Onkyo 595 and a 5.1 speaker set from jamos (4 satalites, 1 center, and a 9" powered sub)... I got the 310 bundle (I think it's 310ADD.3, the .3 + 9" sub)... I think they sound wonderfull... I am not sure about the 6.1 systems... But I definatly know you need one more...

If this a a DIGITAL work around I plan on keeping the 595 and the RV56... I guess on the Panasonic, I need to make sure DTS bitsteam set to OFF so It comes thru the Optical cable... Hopfully that works... :-) I just bought a new computer a couple of months back and trust me... I know about...

Well, I just got my Onkyo 595, and Panisonic VR-56 on the 22nd... I best borrow the Pearl Harbor from my parents tonight to make sure I don't get audio dropouts... :-( Does everyone experience this? Or just a few? What other movies?

Has anyone ever used one of those Computer programable Remotes from Radio Shack? Any good? I have a Onkyo 595, Panisonic DVD, Toshiba TV, Sharp VCR, and a Digital Cable Box... I need to majorly make everything easier!!! If my cable company would offer S-Video on their cable box... and my VCR...

I just am getting use to my new satalites (Jamo 310 Apollo bundle)... Now, the speakers sound great.... Maybe a tad trebby... But I notice that with allot of satalites are... Anyhow... The powered sub is 9" and definatly BOOMS!!! I have a 9" sub... And there are three adjustments on the sub...

But really... I was sitting in the room... Shouldn't 45-50 be LOUDER? Is there a way to calabrate it? Thanks! Bill

So, Right now I have the Digital Out from the Panisonic DVD into the Digital In #1 (the ones that look like phone jacks)... I was watching Gone in 60 seconds... and I could only select Sterio, and Dolby D... What's up with that... Did I select somthing wrong? Also, you guys should note...

Well, the cable box is as wide as the DVD and Receiver... But... NONE of them are the right depth!!! Unfortunatly, we don't live in a Ideal world... Ever notice that Onkyo and Kenwood (and other's) put DVD's on top of their receivers when taking photos for advertisments and brochures...

Well... For now... I will be moving the cable box on top of the receiver... and move the VCR and DVD on the top shelf... I noticed that the DVD doesn't get hot... the VCR that is only when needed... and at that time, obviously, the DVD will be off... so those two shouldn't effect each other...

It's definatly tough buying a reciever... Even the place that I bought the Receiver and Speakers from didn't have EITHER the Kenwood 509 or the Onkyo 595 hooked up to them... I heard the speakers to a $1500-$2500 Kenwood... But, Luckly The Great Indoors had the Jamo's hooked up to a Onkyo 595...
