Win a Denon X5200W 9.2 channel Dolby Atmos AVR with a copy of Insurgent on Blu-ray!

Wish I could have a 7.2.4 setup for Atmos soundtracks and some room treatments to go along with it. ...and someday a UHD TV capable of rec. 2020, HDR, etc. would be great, and a UHD BD player to go with it. With all the UHD BD's mastered well... :B)

Win an Onkyo TX-NR1030 9.2 channel Dolby Atmos AV Receiver

Would love to hear and experience Atmos for myself. Have a local theater with it, but it's hard to get out there. Also, currently have 5.1 setup because the room doesn't really allow for rear surrounds to be installed, ceiling speakers are more of a possibility.

Is this set up good as CD quality music.

If the files are ripped from CD and not converted from a low quality/bitrate lossy format, I would think so.

    FLAC - SACD

What I like about AccurateRip (when your rip is verified) is that you don't have to go and listen to your tracks to be sure there aren't any pops/clicks/etc in them...Saves some time. Without it you never know until you do. But, yeah, the database could always use more contributions. You...

    FLAC - SACD

I don't know about Winamp, haven't used it in ages, but the others all can be configured to use AccurateRip. I think foobar can, too. http://www.accuraterip.com/ Perhaps that interests you, perhaps not. :B)

    FLAC - SACD

I agree, FLAC is great for a little bit of space saving and great Tagging ability. I use mp3Tag for my FLACs, mp3s, etc. It's not exactly automated. EAC can kind of be setup to be, CUETools/CUERipper too. dBpoweramp (not free) is probably the most automated as far as tagging & ripping...

What's the last TV DVD/Blu-ray you bought?

Last one I got was the 10th Anniversary Ed. of Sports Night. Probably won't buy anything else until Ed makes it to DVD or Blu-ray.

Best Place for legal high quality MP3's

Amazon has some Lame encoded VBR files. Only problem is they don't tell you which ones are VBR and which ones are plain 'ol 256.

If you could release 10 shows on DVD for 2008 what would they be?

The only one I really want is Ed!

After almost a year, still glad to be sitting out format war

New to this thread... I'm one of those still on the outside looking in. I was under the impression that Blu-ray was gaining an edge and would be the eventual winner (sooner rather than later) until the news about Paramount and Dreamworks broke. Now it seems this thing could go on forever. I'm...

Internal HD Vs. External HD (pros & cons)

These older Seagate eSATA only drives, if you can find them, come with a PCI/PCI-(X, i think it was) card, quite handy for desktops. There's a 300gb and 500gb model. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...611774-4077438

New Universal Changer on the Market, Marantz VC6001

Thanks Phil. I'm hoping my local Best Buy/Magnolia gets them in soon, I have a couple of reward zone coupons that expire in a couple weeks. When you get a chance, let us know how you like yours. One thing I've tried asking Denon's customer service, without success, is how bass-management...

New Universal Changer on the Market, Marantz VC6001

I'm guessing you're right about that. Not sure how it'll compare to the 1930ci, but I bet It'll be better than the Sony DVP-NC685V I'm using now.
