The driver in question is the Dayton Classic 15" 4 ohm version...Just recently did I run across it on the PE page. I happened to click on it because in the picture I could see the larger surround and wanted to see what the difference was with the other classic 15. Power handling and xmax, and...
I was in work today (Target) and saw Day Of The Dead Divimax edition, so I decided I would look for Dawn Of The Dead, but no, don't have it. Came home and got on here to look for it, there is no Divimax edition, I was just wondering if anyone knows if they are going to do a Divimax edition of it...
I dunno if I am behind the times or not...But is Adire ever going to come out with an 18" version of the Brahma? I hear all this talk about some insane 24" sub....But nothing about the Brahma 18? Is it even going to come out?
Now I searched for a thread on here about the 883 but found nothing so I decided to just start a new thread on it. Exactly what is the difference between the two besides the price? I've heard it is just the warrenty. I can't find any dfference in the two's specs so I was just wonder what the...
Well instead of buying a shiva or a tempest I am going to us a sub I bought for car use. An Eclipse 8600 series 12. A dvc, 4 ohm coils. Fs is 28hz, RMS is 170w. Xmax one way is .99". I am going to try it in the 8 cubic foot box that I was planning on putting a tempest it. But the question for...
I am thinking of an 8 cubic foot box tuned to 20hz with around 200-300w running to the Shiva. I've done the thing in WinISD Pro, says I should get over 100 db's at 20hz with such a big box. Though this is based on theroy..I was just wonder what you people thought of this design...
I am in the market for tv's. RPTV's that is! Heh. I was wondering what any of you folks onhere thought was the better one. The Panny is a 5" bigger and $200 less, but I haven't really heard anything about it, but I have heard great things about the Toshiba's, so I was wondering if it is worth...
Ok...I am thinking about starting a speaker manufacturing business. I can't decide on drivers because I haven't really heard them, I am just wanting you people to rate Morel, Hi-vi, Vifa, and Focal on a 1-4 basis, 1 being the best and on down the line. I just want to see what some of you think...
I was thinking about building my own speakers with the cabinet kits from Parts Express. I was just wondering what type of crossover I should buy. I know the Morel drivers from parts express are good, but what other drivers from PE are good.
What driver specs do you look at to tell if te driver is decent or not? Like the Qes or the Qts...I don't even know what they stand for...Also, how do you figure out the internal volume of a cylinder?
Who else wants this!? I can't wait to get my paycheck and buy this!!! Mad Maxx kicks ass! And those of you that do have it, how is the transfer and audio on it?
I was thinking about being a little silly and buying four Shiva's and building four seperate boxes for them. Running each with 545 watts. Actually, I am seriously giving this setup thought. I would like to go overboard on the bass end of things as I am a basshead and would love to have that much...
Has anyone heard this sub? I went up to the A/V store here and they didn't have any...
EDIT: If you did hear it, could it play LOUD? Does it compete with the little sunfires and such?
I dunno if this is the right forum or not, but how many of you have AIM, ICQ, or YIM? I have no one to seriously talk about Home Theater with around where I live, or on any of my messengers! So, how many of you people are intrested in some convo? Heh....
I have been set on getting an SVS for my sub, or subs, depending on which room I put the HT in. Then I remember The Klipsch Lf-10 and Lf-12. Has anyone here heard them? The specs say they can put out an obscene amount of bass...120dB 1/8 space 1 meter, though I have no idea what the 1/8 space...
Well, I am planning on building a 7.1 setup in my room, and I was wondering what you peoples opinoins are, should I use dipolars for the surrounds and the back surrounds, or dipolars for the surrounds, and direct radiators for the back, or direct for all of them?
Well, I was thinking about taking a DD Audio 9000 Series 15 and putting it in a nice big box with two Adire Audio PR 15's in with it. The DD Audio sub can handle 1200 watts RMS, 600 a voice coil. It's a car audio sub, though I have heard them and they have a rather nice tight bass to them. If...
