Dan Wiggins,
When will those "Uber 15's" be available for European people? I know that u have an German distributor so when the pre-order starts at the end of the month in USA, when will it start here in Europe? Because the postage and customs are big if I order it straight from USA.
I've emailed to Bill couple times asking about that European distributor what I and Pat were making up before he sold the company to Bill and Bill has never responded to my emails. I think Pat was way more customer friendly - he responded to emails within a day - and all that. I've been waiting...
I e-mailed to Pat about the European retailer and here's the answer..
Blueprint was recently sold and is "moving" to Chicago. Bill (the new owner) will be taking care of the European
distribution as well (I have forwarded him all of the information). In the
meantime (until he gets the...
Thanks for answer Jon!
I'm planning to cross it on 80hz, because I propably buy Denon AVR-3802 av-receiver and keep all the speakers small, so it will cross them at 80hz on music AND movies...
It would be quite nice if the box would be just 30L sealed, so it would take much room at all...
How should the 1203 be "broken-in"? (I'm NOT sure if that is the right word.. :)) Or how should any new drivers be "broken-in"? Will the t/s parameters change?
Damn.. It looks like i'm not gonna have BP 1203 this christmas, I emailed to BPD, here's the answer...:
Sorry, no new news. We have yet to have an opening order from two UK based
dealers that decided to distribute them. Most people appear to be turned
off by the shipping costs (due to size...
I found a review of 1503, check it out:

Hmm.. I don't know if I should start to build the box yet, because I don't know when the Blueprints will be available in Europe and will be the price of 1203..
How about the dimensions of the box? I dont have any simulation software right now installed on computer, so what kind of Qtc would give me tight, low bass? The max size of box should be 50 litres, but the smaller the better :)
Thomas,
I meant fast bass, like doublebass etc
(I don't know is the right word in english for what i mean :) )
I'm 90% sure of buying a 1203, when/if they arrive in Europe..
About the box, I don't want to build a cube, more like a REL Storm 3 etc style, so it wont take as much floorspace...
Jack, If i can't afford a HS-500, how do you think i could afford eg a Velodyne HGS-12? ;)
My last sub was Velodyne CT-150 and it was good with movies, but it sucked with music.
How's the SQ of 1203 in sealed at 20-80hz?
Someone has said that THD doesn't really matter on movies but with music it does matter. I think its like that because sub must integrate well with speakers when listening music..
Hmm.. How much does damping factor affect to the "tightness" of sub? Is it good to be over 400 with 1203?
BTW, is there any projects yet about 1203 in web?
Yep, i was thinking about BFD or Behringer Ultracurve Pro, which is even better than BFD, but costs more.
EDIT:
How about the thd of BP 1203 in sealed? How big/low is it?
Has anyone built a servo feedback/control to DIY sub? How about Blueprint 1203 in ~45L box with EQ and servo control/feedback? Is it right that servo control lowers thd?
Thanks again :)
Yeah, the postage to Finland costs way too much and I'd have to pay the customs too.. So the price could easily get to 500 USD, and that's insane... Pat at BPD has told that there will propably be an UK retailer this year, but you never know what happens.. But it should be cheaper to buy it from UK.
It's so hard to decide either to buy a used Kappa Perfect 12.1 for about 150 USD or to wait that BluePrints arrive to Europe. Both are good drivers, but which one has better SQ? Thats the question :)
Hello again
How much does the 1203 itself weight?
Will the Behringer Ultracurve Pro work like Linkwitz Transform filter with 1203 in sealed 48L box?
How about the SQ of 1203 in sealed 48L box when eq-ed?
Is the sound tight and fast?
Since my room is so little, about 3m x 3,7m, I think that...
I would like to say hello to everyone! I've been reading this forum about 9 months and tried to register once before, but they did not accept my real name.. which is Ville-Joonas Javanainen, but it'll work with just Ville Javanainen :)
Now some questions :)
How about the SQ of 1203 sealed...
