The first movie I remember seeing was 2001: A Space Odyssey. I was 6 and I didn't really get it but the images were so cool (so maybe I did get it). Of course it didn't help that as we were leaving the drive-in they called us back to watch the second last reel. They had missed it the first time!

Blade Runner and the Matrix. I didn't expect to buy many DVDs. In all the years of VHS I only bought a few and missed the LD entirely. Little did I suspect the lure of those little shiny discs. After a few more dvd purchases I knew I was missing out... no 5.1 surround... so add a sound system...

I just bought these for my daughter. I can confirm they are both anamorphic despite being labeled LB. I find many R3 discs incorrectly labeled. Totoro is in Japanese 2.0 & Chinese 5.1 but has english subtitles and english menus. Kiki is in Japanese 2.0, Chinese 5.1 and English 5.0 again...

I have 75. Of the remain 25 I have 12 of them in a different version. The draw back of living in a region 3 market.
