You didn't know how to steal a cop car of that type. As time goes on, Ralph or Lucas will teach you how to steal a similar sedan. Then you can take cop cars for a joyride. (No, you can't pull other cars over.) :D
Also, if the police see you commit an offense and get to a phone booth or their...
I will listen to an audiobook (books aren't just on tape, I listen to CDs, MP3s, and Audible downloads -- always unabridged) when I don't need to know every word. If I am reading, I will often reread passages for greater comprehension or enjoyment. I cannot do that easily with a spoken verison...
Currently the only way to play DVD-Audio on the PC is with a Creative SoundBlaster Audigy 2 card (and included software). SACD is not playable on a PC.
Hi-Rez refers to the high sampling rate and bit precision (e.g. 24-bit 192 kHz). The sounds coming from different speakers have nothing to do with high resolution audio.
The latest version of EAX is Advanced HD (which translates to 3 or 4). I don't know how much of a difference it makes, but it is featured on a lot of popular games.
I've actually heard that the difference between the two is marginal. I guess it depends on your speakers. CD ripping is the drive's job and the ripper program's job; the soundcard plays no part except to play back the finished product. I would recommend Exact Audio Copy for an audio...
I oppose VOD because of the probable lack of extras and OAR. Furthermore, I fear the transient nature of VOD. If I buy a DVD, I can watch it on my player for as long as my components last. If I download a movie, I may be able to watch it today, but what's to say that I'll be able to download it...
I found an article about the process: Burning For Surround by Mike Sokol. Also, you can download and burn Swedish Radio programs in this format. I made my own "Sveriges Multikanalsljud" disc unsuccessfully. The player I had on hand played my PCM warning track but not the the DD and DTS tracks.
Actually, DVD-Audio authoring software can be had for the bargain price of $500. Minnetonka's discWelder Steel will import high-res WAVs and burn them to a DVD. I'm not sure if it will do MLP compression though.
You can get character LCDs, graphic LCDs, and VFDs (Vacuum Fluorescent Displays). A popular vendor is Matrix Orbital, but some find their prices too high. The [H]ard|Forum's LCD FAQ is pretty helpful, and many people who know LCDs visit the Cool Cases section. You may also want to search the net.
