Movie clip demonstating "determination (even to death)"?

How about in TOMBSTONE when Doc Holiday continues to ride with Wyatt Earp even though Doc is dying of (Leukemia?)or when Wyatt Earp goes to fight to the death with Johnny Ringo even though he knows he cannot beat him.

The new Panny DMR-E20 DVD Recorder $999 in Crutchfield. Is anyone interested???

Point taken, Thanks for your help guys. I think maybe I'll hold off a while on a DVD recorder. As for my next purchase, I'm still juggling between a PVR, a PS2, or a Behringer Feedback Destroyer (since I got my first SVS 20-39 last week). :) :) :) Thanks again, Eric

The new Panny DMR-E20 DVD Recorder $999 in Crutchfield. Is anyone interested???

Hey guys, Just perusing the latest Crutchfield and came across this unit. Looks pretty cool, but I don't remember any mention of it here. Is this the proverbial nail in my VCRs coffin? or just another gadget? How about coupling it with a PVR? :) Does anyone have any experience with this unit...

Do you use a rear sub???

Hey guys, I'm going to be upgrading to a SVS 20-39 next week, hurray. Right now, I'm using a JBL PB12 as my main sub and a PB10 in the rear. When I added the PB10, I thought that it added a new dimension to my setup, espicially with discrete effects from the surround channels! (ie. AFO when...

Newbie upgrade ??: Biggest Bang for Buck Outlaw 750 or SVS 20-39?

Hey guys, Sorry, I've got another question about this. So here we go....Does it make sense to use a 20-39CS+amp as my LFE and a second 20-39PC as my rear sub using the line level in/outputs? I loved the effect when I first started using a rear sub. I think it adds a whole new dimension. Am I...

Rear Channel Speakers - Dipole or Direct?

Jonathan, That's correct. I have the FX500s as the rear channels & the RT55s as the surrounds. I read somewhere that this allows for better imaging of discrete sounds from the surrounds and more of a seamless soundfield in the rear.

Rear Channel Speakers - Dipole or Direct?

Jonathan, I just upgraded to 7.1 about a month ago. I, too was using the FX500s as my surrounds. After researching, I found that many places recommend direct radiating surrounds for discrete effects and dipoles in the rear for a seamless soundfield. Anyway the RT55s were on special at...

    Have you named your Hometheater???

Well, since I'm most likely getting a SVS or two to add to the system for the holidays and I'm still in an apartment. I may have to change the name from "Superbeast" to "The Leasebreaker."

2 SVSs huh?? How would that work? Would one be for the front and one for the back? Would you stack them???? Could I get one amp to power 2 CSs? Wait a minute, nice try. I'm only supposed to be getting one SVS for now. :) I am intrigued though. How do you guys setup dual SVSs?

Thanks, Charles. I do run my mains large, and the system sounds great. At this point I have rationalized an excuse to further upgrade, and am looking for what would make the biggest impact as an addition to my current setup. I have heard great things about the SVSs & was thinking of movint...

John, My room is 12W x17L x 8H with almost the entire side wall opening into the kitchen and a hallway. The Denon has enough power, but I've heard that an external amplifier would improve sound? Thomas, You bet I would move both subs to the rear if I decide on the SVS. In my 5.1 setup, I had...
