I want to add a 2 channel amp to bi-amp my speakers. I own a Sony 835 that doesn't have any amp in inputs. I was told that I could use the video 1 or 2 audio inputs instead. can this be done? And if not what are some suggestions on completing this goal.

Why pre outs on a receiver. Shouldnt a reciever have inputs comming from the amp? I dont understand. Please explain.
