    Pioneer 440 pricing

I picked this player up from a local BB. It listed for $180 in the store; however, I was able to get an open box for $129 :). The player is great... very quick loading, menu is laid out nicely, plays MP3s with ease and picture quality is quite nice for a sub $300 player. :emoji_thumbsup:

    ATTN: Marantz SR5000 owners

I have almost completed my first HT set-up. I bought the Marantz SR5000 from ac4l.com for $320 to the door. I finally purchased the speakers to go with it, Paradigm Titans (front), CC-170, Atoms (rear), and the Sony SA-WM40 (sub). I am very pleased with the sound so far. I have not been able to...

    Price check.... Paradigm

Well, tomorrow I will be driving the hour and a half to Oakhurst, CA to audition the titans, cc170 and atoms. Hoping to get the complete set for about $580 out the door. On my way home, I will stop at BB and listen to the sawm40 sub. If I like it, I will probably order online for around $150...

    Price check.... Paradigm

I have listened to both the atoms and the titans. To me, the titans sound a bit better for music and I think the extra $30-$40 is worth paying for the titans. My set-up will be about 60% music and 40% movies, therefore the musicallity (is that a word) of the titans would be useful. Also, as far...

    Price check.... Paradigm

I am new to HT and am starting off with a Marantz sr5000. I am going to listen to a set of Paradigm Titans with the cc170 and Atoms for surrounds. What price should I pay? I was thinking $600 out the door, but I thought I'd throw the question out there and see what inputs I receive. For LFE I am...

Just listened to Bose AM15...Not too bad!!

Come on guys, the guy at Best Buy told me that Bose made the best speakers around. They produce sound through constant research. They sounded better than the Sony, Pioneer and Infinity systems I heard.:D :emoji_thumbsup:

    $250 -280 for reciever. Vr-507? Please help

Just to throw another possibility at you, take a look here. http://accessories4less.com/advscrip...&sPrice=288.88. I just purchased this receiver for my first HT. I was looking at the Onkyo 595 and Denon's comparably priced receiver (can't remember which model number off the top of my head). I...

Help me pick a video card.

Goo grab yourself a VisionTek GeForce 2MX400 64MB. You can find one on the internet for around $100.00, also keep an eye on BestBuy and CompUSA (they often have bundle deals). In short, you need to get rid of that 8MB card.

I was able to pick this TV up at sears for $599.00, about $645.00 after tax. My next step was originally the DVD...
