I know this is stupid but what does reference level do. I think it means setting all your speakers at the same volume.... right? why would one want to by a SPL just to set his speakers at the same volume? what's the benefit.

As of right now the cheapest one I know of is the Panasonic 47" which you can get for about $1,600 at Sears with an internet price match. Is there anything cheaper.

I havn't thought of outdoor speakers, That should probably work, but I don't really like the look of putting the front speakers on the wall. but thanks for the great suggestion.

I'm sure someone out there has had to deal with this problem. Did the toddler learn not to mess with it, I don't know how many drops those speakers can take, also most of them don't have the medal covers.
