I'm selling my 4 month old panasonic 47ptwx49 rear projection widescreen hdtv and other home theater equipment. I'm selling a Harmon Kardon AVR-110 receiver, a pair of Klipsch SF-1 loudspeakers, a Panasonic RP-56 dvd player, and a Echostar dishnetwork receiver (none HDTV).
I'll selling the...
I guess I came across pretty newbie-ish but I do have have some knowledge about home theater, it's the amps and processors that I don't know much about because when I first started getting into home theater I was only considering receivers because pre/pro would be out of my budget.
Thanks for...
I was wondering if you add an amp to a receiver does it add to the watts or does it replace it.
Like if I add a 100w/2channel amp to a 100w/5channel amp will the two mains be 200w now or stay at 100w but just use the amp's watt. get it?
Oh another question, if I add an amp to my powered...
I'm trying to decide where to place my old kenwood box shaped rear speakers.

I have a pair of Klipsch SF1 floor standing speakers and a Panasonic 47" widescreen HDTV. The Klipsch are about 1/3 shorter than the T.V. and they are placed right beside the T.V. I'm thinking about buying some stands to make the speakers the same height as the T.V. This is pretty much for...
I know this is stupid but what does reference level do. I think it means setting all your speakers at the same volume.... right? why would one want to by a SPL just to set his speakers at the same volume? what's the benefit.
bump,
I just sold my T.V. and the guy is coming to pick it up on thursday so I need to make a decision fast, Oh and is there any big screen analog RPTV that supports 480P.
As of right now the cheapest one I know of is the Panasonic 47" which you can get for about $1,600 at Sears with an internet price match. Is there anything cheaper.
I've had the T.V. for 4 months now, I bought it from Sears. It's in perfect working condition, only problem is a VERY slight scratch on the right side on the frame of the T.V. not the screen, the scratch is smaller than a quarter of the pinky nail, it's virtually unoticable. I want to sell it...
I'm looking to spend about $1,000 to $1,500 on a RPTV between the size of 45" to 55". Is there any brand I should stay away from and it would be great if someone knows where to get some great deals at, thanks.
I know thats not a lot to spend on a RPTV but I just want one to hold me over until...
I havn't thought of outdoor speakers, That should probably work, but I don't really like the look of putting the front speakers on the wall. but thanks for the great suggestion.
I'm sure someone out there has had to deal with this problem. Did the toddler learn not to mess with it, I don't know how many drops those speakers can take, also most of them don't have the medal covers.
Oh and bookshelf is not out of the question, only problem is I have a two year old and I'm not sure if the speaker can take all the punishment, anybody else in this situation, how do you deal with it.
I want some suggestions for what towers to get, I'd appreciated if you know the model number as well. I'm can't really say what price range I want because I don't know much about towers. Right now I have the JBL N24 as mains and surrounds and JBL N center. Pretty much the big reason why I want...
I'm picking out a receiver for my sister. She has a pretty big living room and I'm pretty much set on getting her the HTD level III mains and center for the front and using her cheapo bought from the back of a white van satellite speaker for the surrounds. I havn't decided on a sub yet though...
I have the AVIA disc and the only thing I've done with it is change the T.V.s picture, brightness, sharpness, hue and color. Besides that is there anything else I can do with the disc that won't require a professional calibrater.
Seems to be the same with the sound. I havn't messed with it...
Wow I didn't know how big this scam was, I went to audioreview.com and looked under all three names, the only one that appeard was acoustic 9901. I didn't realize how big this was, These white van guys are everywhere, one guy even reported that they were in Malaysia.
I'm not gonna like...
I have a H/K 110 with an RP56 player, it does dolby digital but no DTS. I've read the manual for the RP56 and set everything to output DTS and the receiver says that I should just be able to pick what surround mode I want.
BTW I'm using Saving Private Ryan to test this out, anybody know whats...
I have dish network with the echostar 301 receiver and I didn't apply for local channels. I've hooked the antenna straight to the receiver so how do I get to the local channels? it doesn't go under channel 100, what do I do?
I have a HK AVR110 receiver which the satellites are hooked up to. So basically I should set the satellites and center to small and turn the low pass on the subwoofer to 180 and not worry about the high pass right?
I have the JBL NSP1 package and a PSW-D110 subwoofer, what should the settings on the subwoofer be, the fronts says cross over at 3000, I don't know what that means but I think it has something to do with how low the speakers can go, and the center has a cross over at 3500.
Also should I set...
