Evelio, question- with sacd/dvd-audio you can no longer use the MACC EQ correct? can you use MACC with the firewire connection? MACC is the ONLY reason I bought the pioneer in the first place. the custom EQ makes a huge difference in my room. thanks

Ive always loved dunlavys- too bad about his demise. Only thing about his monitors were that they lacked a little fullness due to size. Now his larger speakers are some of the best bar none!

john, I got a set of Vr-1s, so if you want to do a comparison, let me know. Funny thing is that 3 speakers that look very similar and are all made in china- onix ref1, VR-1 and quad 12L. All the speakers are similar in woofer size, finish quality and price range.

I would third Mark Seaton's advice and go for the pair of Denalis! With multiple subs you can work with room nodes and other placement/balance issues.
