I think it's a safe bet with a 4th installment on the way that we'll see a rerelease of the Spiderman movies. I have the 3rd movie on blu (again, the PS3 thing) and am just waiting for the movies to be rereleased with the next movie.
I have to say I had no interest in seeing this until I watched the trailer. Now I'm very curious about it. (I'll reserve the word "excited" for the next trailer if it's good. haha)
I was very familiar with Trek 2 before I saw Space Seed. Worked for me. :) In fact, I was dissappointed in Khan in Space Seed because he seemed too nice.
I have to chime in and say I really wish the deleted green girl scene had been left in. I love how it ties in with Kirk's test and how he constructed the whole thing. In fact, I didn't have a problem with any of the deleted scenes and would love to see an extended cut someday.
Aaron, I had read the comic but did not catch the movie in theaters. I enjoyed the comic. I bought the 1st release blind really hoping the movie would deliver and in my opinion, it does! I really enjoyed it and have watched it several times. I was going to rent this edition but after seeing it...
I bought the BluRay not knowing how different the version was on there. I much prefer the theatrical version and would snap-up that version in a heartbeat. It was interesting to see this version but like Superman 2, I want the original version next to it.
I bought it on release day at Best Buy. $50! They had several copies. I was wondering why there was no discussion on HTF about it. Thanks for starting one Jeff! I popped in Generations and Nemesis. I thought Generations looked better even though that might be because of how dark Nemesis is when...
I will be buying both boxsets on 9/9/09 and can't wait to compare them. I work weekends on a classic rock station and am wondering which versions we will be playing.
I plan on buying the CD on Tuesday. I did however manage to find a "copy" on my desk at work today. Now this CD has Come Back (Bare Version) which is the slow version from YouTube. I prefer this version and would like to purchase it on CD however it is not on Sounds Of The Universe. The album...
Good luck. (I really mean that) Making the edit should be simple enough but getting the sound to match up might be tricky. I've played with putting the original Sweet Emotion ending on the remastered and the sound is just a bit off. The remastered version is just "thicker" and doesn't blend well...
I wasn't trying to start any trouble. Just wondering if the ADITL version that didn't have the crowd cheering over the intro (from Sgt. Pepper's Reprise) was on the Past Masters. I do not own those and thought it might be on there. I see that it is not. No big deal.
Is the single version of A Day In The Life anywhere in either of these boxes? I'll be buying both boxsets on day of release and have been holding off on owning several Beatles discs while waiting on this. Can't wait!
I have their 2 US releases (Girl You Know It's True & The Remix Album) and several of their imports and singles. The music is what it is. I never understood the outrage and today don't even think it would grab a headline.
I didn't like them back in the 80s for whatever reason but now really enjoy their music. I guess my music taste has changed. I think Enjoy The Silence is a great song. I'll check out their new stuff.
The PS3 can display the running time using the remote. That's the one thing I like to have as well since I try to squeeze a movie in before the wife comes home. The one thing I wish the PS3 would do (and please correct me if I'm wrong) is when watching a non-anamorphic movie, you can't zoom...
I don't know Brian. It's the first time I've watched the movie in HD and on a real TV. If it was on the DVD, I never noticed but didn't have the same set-up so I could have easily missed it.
I finally got around to watching this and noticed that it is maybe a bit too clear. (Not really possible, I know) You can see the studio walls in the opening desert scene. When K says the line, "When did they let you out of jail?" and when he says, "Hand me that head" you can see the walls of...
I like the rooster idea! I guess for now I'll settle with getting her an alarm clock with a CD player so that she can at least wake up to gentle music. I'm not sure if the "dawn simulator" would work for her but that is a cool concept and I thank Cameron for posting the links. During my search I...
I've been married for over 13 years and the entire time I've been with my wife, she has had the same alarm clock. (I have too.) Every morning the thing goes off and causes her to rapidly shut it off. She is a light sleeper. For Christmas I'd like to get her a new alarm clock that makes a more...
Caught a screening this evening here in Tulsa. I enjoyed the last one and thought that this one was a better movie. I do wish I had watched Casino right before going in to see Solace since I got a bit confused at the end. My only complaint is that there is too much of the shaky camera in the...
I think the monkey scene was far worse than the fridge. Of course I'm pretty warped in my thinking. Still, I'm really looking forward to owning this release and do not believe they'll make me rebuy it in the future in order to own the others on Blu.
I try to watch every extra on any disc I buy. I do not include the commentary tracks in that grouping. The only time I've listened to the commentaries is when I'm on a long drive. I play the movie through my car radio and give it a good listen. My favorites are the movie trailers and...
I have to say I agree with Rob's comments in general. I do believe that people get so attached to a movie that their expectations are sky high when they go see the next one and then they tear it apart when it fails to live up to their expectations. I enjoyed Indy 4 but I have no problem...
