Same thing here with the 360 HD-DVD on both King Kong and Superman discs only. Happens twice randomly during Superman im going to see if a swap at Walmart changes anything.?
I set mine up backwards I mounted the projector(L300U) where I wanted it first (ceiling) then turned it on & marked the wall where the projected image was and made sure it was square and same size as screen(DIY, Fixed). Next mounted my screen where my marks were. Took 30 minutes to mount both...
Best deal ive seen so far InFocus 4805 Digital Home Projector with 106" Draper Pull Down Screen for $1399 (not sure what shipping is?) @ shopathometv.com
Im pretty sure they were hooked to a bright Yamaha receiver all of the Best Buys I've seen use the Yammy's to demo speakers. I brought home a pair of F1 mains to replace my Polk RT 800's and never looked back. I use them mainly for movies and do not find them bright at all. Im using a...
I just bought a pair of ASR1's from Best Buy Sunday for $150, they're running a sale right now 25% off all Athena speakers. I retired my Polk RT/FX sourounds so far the ASR1's have blown them away. Im also running a pair of F1's for the mains. Rick
Bass Shakers work well. They fool me sometimes into thinking I have the bass cranked to high so I get up off the couch to turn my sub down and find that my sub is off or all the way down. In fact the only way sometimes I know my sub is off, is if I sit in the couch with no shakers in it...
The bulb on my L300 had more cracks on it at 250 hours than the picture above, of course this was past the 90 day warranty. At what point during the life span of the bulb should you expect the reflector to begain wearing (cracking).. if ever?? Not sure if most manufacturs have an hours...
Drew: The front is Aluminum and so is the volume knob on both the 7080 and 7070. The VR-707 uses a plastic face and probably volume knob as well in that case. In the 2 page review in the S&V they actually complemented on the quality of the Volume knob used on the 7080. I looks like...
Kenwoods is comming out with one this year. I have a friend that works for them and said that they well have the ablilty to link up to 3 400 Disc DVD players together through an entertaiment hub. Also it can to send video from each player at the same time to different rooms in the house (via...
FIXED MINE!!! I have VR-509 that does (did) the same thing. Mine got to the point where no longer flicking it would work. So I cracked the baby open to take a peek at the IR sensor. Well what do you know all three legs on the IR sensor had cold solder joints (meaning they did not use enough...
If you can pick-up a November Sound&Vision they did a two page report on it. I've had the 7080 since last April and really love it. The DTS Neo-6 works great for two channel source. The remote is awesome the only problem is no macro function but works all my equipment and every one that...
Is your Digital coax going to the DVD6CH "digital coax" input aswell?
If your DVD6CH input is set up for "AUTO" the digital well always over ride the analog even if there is no output from the digital.
Try selecting the DVD6CH input to Analog or unpluging the digital coax temporarly and see...
Ive had the 7080 for 4 months and its great for movies, I also use it as a component video switch for HD and Progressive scan with no noticable video loss (using projector). Oh ya the remote is awesome and wife friendly.
The HK 7200 at that price is steal it seems way underpriced and too good...
I've got about 300 or so and have attempted to rewatch my entire collection a few times when upgrading HT equipment. First time when I upgraded my sub I rewatched several of my old favs. But the one upgrade that led to me wanting to rewatch my entire collection, was when I upgraded to a...
ODD? Is your TV acknowledging or indicating that it is receiving a 480P signal when you switch to progressive scan? try another input maybe? Since its new I would have a tech come out and look at it. Rick
Watch when all off the displays are displaying a short pause between comercials where the all of the Plasma's are displaying a solid black image and youll notice the the Daewoo has the worst representaion for blacks almost a medium grey. This is what makes the difference between a 2500 display...
I use Canare L-5CFB in my walls. Its runs a Very low voltage video signal whats the big deal.? IMO Question though?? If your building out your room in the sheet rock stage could you run the Canare through a piece of conduit and it be legal. Rick
The Radio Shack Kameleon remote is a learning remote, as long as you have the orignal Runco remote you can just point the remote at the Kameleon and store the codes to the TV button. I have this remote and set it up to work with my Panny L300 PJ. Rick
I used think most movies were a little grainy on my JVC X65 Prog player on my MITS 55" until I upgraded to one with DCDi technology a Kenwood DV6050. I now I hardly ever see grain even on grainy movies. The RL Matrix has to be one of the best of examples of black and shadow detail since...
Yea, heat is something not often brought up but is just nature of the beast. I use a fan in the room to help keep cool. Since I dedided to ceiling mount the heat has become less of an issue as most of the heat stays close to the celing.
Ditto on the bass action. I felt every gun shot and explosion with the bass shakers. Also the instrumentals in the films are awesome. Recently I have noticed after watching some older films they don't use as much Orchestra as they used to.
