I've signed it. I'm pretty much a lurker here, but I have to come out and say I applaud everything people are trying to do on this issue. I don't mind P&S being available - though the fact that people want it does sadden me, a little - but I will refuse to knowingly buy a non-OAR disc.

I got a defective disc, too. Some short pixelation during Chapter 21 on mine (played on an Xbox). Cleaning didn't help, but there were no skipping or sound problems, so it wasn't a huge problem. Annoyingly, though, I'm off to the airport in a few hours and so I can't exchange it until next year.

My mother took me to see Star Wars at the cinema when I was three (possibly four) and I turned out okay. I think... Anyway, I don't think The Phantom Menace is any worse than A New Hope, violence wise. It may even be better, as droids are being destroyed, rather than storm troopers being...

I got mine Friday last week. Came media mail (urgh), so it might take a while. (I'm in Houston, by the way.)

I like the new look. I just wish the page for volume two of the John Waters Collection had the correct review on it.

Is it a decent DVD player, though?
