I am considering purchasing 3 pair of the MMG internet promo by Magnapan. I would use the third pair for front center and rear center in a 6.1 set up. Here are my concerns: 1. Space is limited since I had to move into an apartment. The front soundstage will be fine since I cam place the...
Well, I went for it. I had often questioned my need for a sub because my mains had a stated low end of 28Hz and moved a large quantity of air. After only seconds, I know that I had made the right move.
I did a few test with U-571, Jurrasic Park, etc. and was astounded with the results. Last...
The subject is my question. It is a brand new boxed unit. I know that Mirage is dicontinuing this model, but I feel that it is a deal that could be a steal.
Any comments . . .
I have been in and out of AA rooms for 8+ years. Have had three relapses during that time totaling 6 years. My last relaps put me at my bottom. My last drink was Nov. 24, 2001.
During that 8+ years I never worked the program. I never had a sponsor or worked the steps. That is why I have...
I have finally decided that it is time to get the .1 in my 6.0 system. After reviewing the PartsExpress site I came upon this sub http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshow...297-608&DID=7. In conjunction with the peerless PR, it looks like a good combo.
Has anyone used these drivers? I did a...
It sounds like you might be hedging toward a project that you can just assemble. If you are really looking to get the max from a low budget, consider this:

After 13 years in the healthcare business, I am burned out and ready to pursue my passion (our passion). I put my self through college selling and installing car audio, home audio/sat equipment so I am aware of what I am getting myself into.
If there are any out there that can offer advice, I...
If you are capable of any basic DIY skills, these are a great little speaker for $140. The 10" sub that they mention is also a very great bargain.

Sorry Ryan, when I got these, I was only interested in power rating, so I only asked the tech that did the mods what the power ratings he was able to bump them too. I will try and pull out the factory spec sheets out and let you know.
If you have any soldering capabilities, I built a 30ft cable with parts from Radio Shack. The have a spool of s-video cable for 19.99, and the connectors are 4.99. It would be a slight step up from the parts express cable.

Well, I made the best investment that I could have ever made in improving the picture quality of my projector. I got a DVDO iScan plus line doubler and the difference in picture quality is like night and day.
Well, I made a big improvement in my picture quality with a DVDO iScan plus line doubler. It is by far the best investment that I have made in my image quality.
It is the S-video cable. One of the two vital leads is not making contact(probably the chroma). If the cable allows you to unscrew the protective case at the ends, you will probably find that one or more of the leads has become un-soldered. If you can get at it, just solder it back...
Some one asked about Denise Richards. If you haven't seen her in "Wild Thing" you truly haven't seen her. Nev Campbell is also hot it this flick. On top of seeing some great tits, it is are really good movie. You can get it at Wal Mart for $9.44.
Again from my 10 year old son. Maybe I should start worrying!!
Where did that skeleton in the closet come from?
That was last years 'Hide and Seek' winner!!
I must say a cork floor is very elegant when installed and finished properly. It isn't hard, but when it is done wrong, it looks like crap!!!
I think that if you do cork on the floor, you may want to try a carpet on the lower half of the walls. I have seen this combination with both hunter...

Alot of deciding to go the refurb rought or new depends on who you will be buying it from. May refurb products carry the full manufacturers warranty, and if that is the case, I would go for it. I have purchased B-stock (usually refurbs) before and had wonderful results. Best of...
It could be that you are having to push your Yamaha to hard to get any sound out of those little speakers   !!! Just kidding. . .
I have installed fans on the top of my receiver that sits on open shelves. I used computer power supply fans, and powered them with a common DC to AC...
