Saw this several times in 1996 - it was THE film in the U.K. for students to go to :) I’d don’t think there has ever been a good release of this film on disc and in my eyes this seems to be the most accurate one as I can recall. I would not be surprised that some of the colour changes may well...
yep down for me also :(
Ive started to look for alternatives but cant find anything that matches up to the ability to synchronize but also personalise it. My Movies Pro is the closest but the lack of control over cover images and how it displays box sets means I can't commit to that yet.
I already had Aliens on ITunes and quickly checked and it’s definitely been upgraded for me - I could tell just from the Fox logo.
It’s definitely a noticeable difference in the picture - and a good excuse to watch it but I’m going to wait for the disc version. I’m not really sure how what I...
Am I missing something with regards to the "Grand Inquisitor" ? I keep seeing comments that suggest he isnt dead because he is in the Rebels series, but isnt that just a title and any of them could be in the role ? Or is it because its the same alien creature in the role ?
Sorry I just assumed...
Generally loved it especially the second episode. Couple of things :
1. The young child playing a certain character looks way younger than she is supposed to be - I though she looked about 6 years old
2. Is it just me or have others guessed exactly who Reva is likely to be and why she has an...
So I was in Italy this week and managed to get a trip to Lake Como - Villa del Babienello was there and I couldn’t resist a quick tour. Obviously familiar to SW fans but I’d forgotten it also featured in Casino Royale.
Stunning place to visit anyway even without the SW connection.
Well Season 5 has definitely come through so far. I’ve loved all the seasons they have made but this season has so far been very consistently good after 4 episodes - splitting the team up has worked really well and all the storylines for them are engaging
Not as good as Inception but that's one of my favourite films and I think this is going to take a few watches to get a better sense of how I feel about it. Like Josh mentioned, there is a moment where most people will see the first half of the movie click into place, but that means there is a...
An amazing last four episodes that give Revenge of the Sith a run for its money, but lets not forget that these four episode work so well BECAUSE of Episode III, not in spite of it.
Would like to see them put these four episodes together as one movie as Id pretty much watch this with any repeat...
Seen it twice and no real need to watch again which is a first for me - saw TLJ 6 times.
Not awful but regardless of what you felt about TLJ the last film could have gone anywhere so am a little disappointed but not surprised to find them in Return of the Jedi mode but this doesn’t really hit...
Initial thoughts after one viewing
better than TFA not as good as The Last Jedi.
Most of the Kylo/Rey stuff worked really well for me and Ben’s turn was the best moment especially with Han.
They really did not need to make Rey a Palpatine it felt completely disconnected and a surprise for the...
ugh didn't like it at all but ET is my favourite film pretty much and I definitely think anything like a sequel is a big no-no.
Gets by solely on the Williams score which just shows how good it is to me!!
Again given you seem to be a pretty big SW fan, I’m sure you are aware of all the behind the scenes reports confirmed at the time of Last Jedi that there was no overarching plan and that they were leaving it for each filmmaker - often the criticism that people like yourself who didn’t like Last...
You know that’s a weak comparison because Anakin was Vader by that time and the parallels between father and son were between Luke and Anakin before he turned, not after.
I don’t know if Luke is Rey’s father and who knows they might come up with a way of explaining it well - unlikely but you never know. You are the one drawing links between Lukes potential behaviour and Anakins. But Anakin thought his son was dead for many years, he didn’t abandon him on a...
What you mean is he answered them in a different way to what you expected. Throwing them out is most definitely not what he did.
And Anakin and Luke being whiny brats has nothing to do with how they dealt with their impending fatherhood
Err...sorry I don’t get the link. Anakin had a very different arc.
And there is no indication in Last Jedi that Luke knew her, in fact the “Rey from Nowhere” moment tries to make it explicit that he doesn’t know who she is. I actually thought that was Johnson trying to make it definitive early on.
