1) What is the service provider? 2) If the ethernet card is showing in the device list then it is installed. The cable modem will not show up. 3) If the service provider does not bind to the MAC address (all ethernet devices have a unique MAC address) like SethH stated, then do the following...
Iwill KK266R? If you haven't purchased it already then I wouldn't use it. As a KK266plus owner, I would never own a KK266 anything ever again. Or matter of fact anything using the VIA KT133A chipset. This chipset is pretty buggy and I've had to keep current on the VIA 4in1 drivers on my Win98...
Dan, If you want to just cut frames then both VirtualDub and TMPGEnc will do the job. TMPGEnc has a source range setting which is under the advanced tab under the setting button. Alan
Dan, If you use the ATI MMC and uncompressed AVI for your captures then you will run up against the 4 gig limit pretty quick since your running Win98. I have not found anywhere in MMC to capture using multiple files. VirtualDub allows capturing to multiple files. As for the drivers, I...
I have a 20 gig and 60 gig drive. Currently, The 20 has 13 gig free and the 60 gig has 53 gig free. I also capture my home videos (or capture shows from my ATI AIW) and create video cd's. When I'm capturing I can easily use all of my available space for the capture. If it wasn't for video or...
Rayovac has rechargable 1.5v alkaline batteries. They used to be called Rayovac Renewables. I picked up a AA 4 pack for a little over $5 the other day. My son is using them in his GBA. I've reserved my Nimh's for my camera. My charger, which is a Rayovac Charger, supports Nimh, NiCD and alkaline...
I have one of the RS converters. It degrades the video quality some but not enough for me to run out and buy a S-VHS vcr. Normally I tape a show, watch it and tape over it. There is however noticeable chromatic aberrations. That bothers me the most. I did see a converter at Fry's for $4.95 but I...
I prefer Epson. I currently have the Epson Stylus Photo 890 and the Epson Stylus Color 600. I have never had any problems with them. Also the 890 is $299.
Actually I wish I never bought my board with the VIA chipset. From what I have read it's not just a problem with the VIA board but also with the Soundblaster. There is also suppose to be a timing problem with the SB Live's. I hear the Turtle Beach doesn't have a problem but I haven't tried it...
Buzz,
Does Comcast require you to have special software (ie. login) installed?
Have you tried this:
Power down everything.
Wait about 30 minutes.
Power up cable modem and wait for it to be completely connected.
Power up the Linky and wait for it to be completely connected.
Power...
Which dragon board is it?. Does the board have a VIA chipset? If so you may want to check this thread ==> http://forums.viaarena.com/messagevi...&threadid=4553
Normally I would use a small wire brush and scrape it off or you could try baking soda with water and apply with the q-tip. If your in a pinch, use Coca Cola instead of the baking soda with water.

As far as I know there isn't any other software that works with the DVC II. You can get the lastest version for $29.95 from Dazzle. I wouldn't toss out the DVC II it's not bad for the money.
I think this is a problem with PowerDVD. I downloaded the trial version and it stuttered when switching tracks. The same VCD was smooth on my standalone player. On my standalone there was a pause when switching tracks even though I specified zero pause in Nero. This is normal (at least on my...

Brian,
Though you won't get the full effect, I don't see why not. This is the way I'm setup currently. I have the surrounds and sub turned off in the receiver.

On my old 501BK, if I turn off the DVD player while it is playing the resume light will come on. Then, to restart where I left off, I hit the resume button. The player will turn on and start where I left off. Also, If I forget to use the resume button and turn the player on, then I quickly hit...
I don't think the VCR senses the Cable Box. What it is doing is sensing the channels. The Cable Box only outputs 1 channel (i.e. channel 3 or 4) and handles the rest internally. If you use the bypass feature of the cable box then your vcr should be able to sense all the channels minus the...
