Eh, I'm a regular at the Stooges Forum.. some new guy posted what he saw as "fact" from some Wikipedia article so naturally nobody bought it.
I'm glad the final Volume is coming but I am itching to know what Sony's plans are for the Shemp, Besser, and DeRita solos which were at one point...
HD masters were struck awhile back. HBO was showing the Trilogy in HD for awhile. I had them DVR'd, they looked good. I don't think there was a problem with the transfer on the '02 set other than the framing snafu.

Sony looks to be staying on top of things! Three Stooges Collection: 1943-1945 (2008) 1. They Stooge To Conga (1943)* 2. Dizzy Detectives (1943) 3. Spook Louder (1943) 4. Back From The Front (1943) 5. Three Little Twirps (1943)* 6. Higher Than A Kite (1943) 7. I Can Hardly Wait...
The Agee Project should be considered dead at this point.. the set has been put on indefinate hiatus, so who the hell knows.
Now RHI is releasing a complete Our Gang collection.
When's L&H's turn?
So with the lack of The Whole Bloody Affair, I'm sick of waiting. I'd like the BD but I'd like the ultimate collection... What's the best version of which??? I don't really feel like rifling through this whole thread..
Thank you. And I'm glad you got a hearty "laugh" over Ghostbusters commmunity. Gord, who has an account at the largest website, can testify that it's pretty damn big. Time Life is already guaranteed that many sales. So please. Save your complaints.
The only chain that will definitely (that I know of) carry it is Fry's. My local Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and Target never carried these. With Fry's mainly being localized out West, it's not a good market.. but given that Amazon is a good indicator of sales, I hope this bides well for a third volume.
Comparing The Real Ghostbusters to a Michael Jackson music video isn't really possible. Is this "not good" because it's animated? If it were live-action, it'd be ok then? I don't see what all the fuss is about.. Time Life even did Ren & Stimpy before those botched Paramount sets came out...
Says who? That's like saying any studio won't release any film before 2000 because they make Special Editions of newer films. Why can't Time Life branch out?
For all of the negativity coming from this thread, I can assure you this is some of the best news the Ghostbuster community has gotten in awhile. The various GB message boards are clamoring with replies and speculation as to what could be included with the set. I'd say this is a great move for...
Having been active in the online Ghostbusters Community for close to 10 years now, I'm going to say its safe to bet this could be Time Life's biggest seller (even moreso than Get Smart). I don't know what they shelled out for licensing costs, but I know this has been one of the most requested TV...
Wow. VERY disappointed. I know this has been one of WB's most clamored for SEs. I would've expected a 2-disc SE treatment. I'm sure there's a lot of stuff they could have crammed on there. I wasn't big on the cartoon.. it was ok as a kid, but eh. What a letdown.
I checked Fry's yesterday to see if they may have put their sole copy out a day early but no dice. I know where I'm going after work. Can't wait!
The last set didn't have them, although they were Closed Captioned enabled (I prefer them to subs myself).
Looks like it's finally happening! The Real Ghostbusters DVD news: Time-Life to Release Complete Series This Fall | TVShowsOnDVD.com Greatest. DVD. News. Ever. (to me anyways)
Some people will say The Man From U.N.C.L.E. is stupid. The Real Ghostbusters is my all-time favorite cartoon and one of my most fondest memories growing up. This is the greatest DVD news I've ever heard. Can't wait, but I'm sure it'll be expensive as hell..
Really? They were able to score the Plucky/Hamton themed "Istanbul" and Hamton/Dizzy/Plucky "Particle Man" music videos? That's fantastic! That's one of my favorite episodes of the series.
Anyone excited to be able to relive the Particle Man and Istanbul music videos on TT TV? :D As for Freakazoid!, I never got into it.. not because I didn't want to, it was just one of those shows I never got around to watching. Chances are I'll get this, too. I really wish they'd finish up...
Tiny Toons has a larger following than Animaniacs.. atleast I've always thought they did. But they only have one more Volume left, that's so silly to abandon it now! I agree that Taz-Mania needs a release. "A blah blah blah and a yakkity schmakity."
Can't wait for Tiny Toons. Always been a huge fan of that and Animaniacs. I have to agree the cover art blows, but atleast it's finally coming. Can't say I dig the flipper fourth disc.. but eh. Speaking of which, where's the final Volume of Animaniacs?? We're almsot done!
