Neil: Nice room! I also have a 3803 and I recently bought Paradigm speakers to go with it. I got Studio 20v3 and CC470v3. They sound great with the Denon. I am still not sure what I want to get for surround speakers. dipole or direct or inwall? But will go with Paradigm regardless.
In June 2003, I went from RP91 to Denon 2900 for my HT. I really love the Denon but I kept the RP 91 for my bedroom. The Denon adds SACD , BM. I like the picture of the Denon (a little softer compared to RP91), it is more film like in my opinion. The RP 91 was better with non-anamorphic DVDs but...
Leef D: I have the same setup (20v3 and 470) and I have to agree with you 100%. The 20s are great and the CC470 is a very match. I also listened to the 570 and decided to go 470. I compared this set up to B&W CDM and I thought that the Paradigm sounded better for my taste. I was able to...
Just placed my order for 20v3 cc470v3 and J29 stands for the 20s. I can't wait. I paid $1400 for everything. I will be using aDenon 3803 for now but will probably buy NAD 763 in the next few months. Anyone listened to Paradigm ref inWalls?
6ave.com now says that the 3802 and 3803 are "in Stock" with a "ships 1-3 business days". When I ordered my 3803 last Monday it said "on Order" 21 business days
In my search for my perfect speakers ($1000 max for Front LR, $700 for Center), I came accross the JM Lab Cobalt 806s. My concern is regarding the advertised Max power handling for these speakers. It says 60W max under "recommended amp" but my receiver (Denon 3803) is 7 x 110 W. Is this...
I ordered mine on Monday morning (11/17) and was told that I would receive an email with confirmation for my order. I still haven't received the confirmation email yet. Should I worry or did it take a few days for all of you guys before 6ave sent the email. Thanks
Mike : Thanks for the answer. At that price, I wonder what will happen once Denon finds out. I don't think they want to see their authorized dealers selling the 3803 $350 less than MSRP.
I placed my order this morning for the 3803 at $648.06. I was told that it would be 3 business weeks before it ships. I forgot to ask the guy if they were sending refurb or b stock units? Does anyone know?
Vladimir: I have a stock 2900 and not a modded one. I love the player and that is all I am saying. If I could afford to buy a 5900, I probably would. Again, I have no doubts that the 5900 is a better player. I just do not understand why some people feel the need to put it down simply because...
TrevorS: Very well put! I agree with you. Why are 5900 owners feel the need to put down the 2900?? Do they need to reassure themselves about their decision?
I want to get new bookshelf speakers and I am considering the B&W CDM 1NT speakers. The problem I have is that the CDM CNT is too large to fit in my entertainement system. The dealer suggested that I got the B&W CMC to go with the CDM 1NT. What do you gyus think? Are the CDM 1NT and CMC match...
Bruce: I got the 2900 in June and I still love it. I enjoy the picture detail ( I have actually never seen the alt fag issue) and my DVDA and SACD sound great. Levesque is correct when he says that you should not compare the 2900 with the 5900. Remember, the 5900 is twice the price of the 2900.
I would like to buy a new center channel (Paradigm Studio cc470) but it weights 34Lbs! I am worried that it might be too heavy to sit on top of my 48" Mits RPTV. What do you guys think? Thanks.
