HTF Review: The Outer Limits (New Series) - Season One

Do these DVDs contain the unedited Showtime versions of the episodes, or the syndicated broadcast versions? I ask because the Canadian release of the new Outer Limits episodes used the broadcast versions. Thanks, -David

What the heck is up with Smallville Season 1? Major mastering error

Are you sure each episode is on the disc twice? It is possible to set up the DVD so that Titles 3-6 are the individual episodes, and that title 1 is a "play all" which uses the same VTS_0x.vob's as the individual episodes. The best way to check if there are dual episodes is to check the raw...

Weird video effect in Star Trek TNG Season 1

I just wanted to thank everyone who has posted here -- I've learned a lot, and appreciate your contributions! I also wanted to followup and say I watched the next episode (The Naked Now) and the problem seemed to be less prevalent than in "Encounter at Farpoint". -DB

Weird video effect in Star Trek TNG Season 1

Morgan-- I can see this during normal play mode on a non-progressive (regular NTSC) system. I am a bit confused though -- are you saying this is a flaw with the DVD mastering and should not be present? I got the impression reading other responses that the fields were mixed this way on the...

Weird video effect in Star Trek TNG Season 1

The good news: "Ruthless People" on DVD in '02! The bad news...

Just checked prices at dvdpricesearch, and the specs there show this as 4:3. Worse is that Pan & Scan is implied, as non-anamorphic WS titles show as LBX next to screen format. I checked known P&S titles, and they show as 4:3 next to screen format. Don't know how reliable the specs they...
