Ok, they're, they're in the woods ...
The camera keeps on shaking ...
I think they're looking for some witch or something, I, I don't know, I wasn't listening ...
Nothings happening ...

Something about a map ...
Nothings happening ...
It's over.

*Clevland and Peter sitting in the Drunken Clam*
Peter: So Chris starts with this "yo yo yo" stuff and I don't know WHAT in the hell he's saying, so I start whiping him with the hose, and then my arm got tired, so now I'm here.
Global has a hand in the production of the show. If they don't do the p&s themselves, I'm sure the only reason they are provided with a p&s version is because of their involvement in the production of the show. Here's the blurb from the site about them deciding to run it it widescreen this...
Eric, it's an SA 3100HD. They only upgraded us to that one for VOD, previous to that I believe their standard issue for HD was a 2800HD or 2900HD (can't remember for sure, it's been a while.)
Heh, I know the feeling. I think I'm the only person I know that watches it. I'm surprised it's still on the air. *Knocks on wood* I think it's better than Babylon 5 was, and Babylon 5 was an awesome show. I think a lot of people were just thrown by Kevin Sorbo (seeing only Hercules when...
We just got HD Timeshifting on Rogers Cable here in Canada, it's pretty wicked. Assuming you've got HD Cable/Sat, (as opposed to OTA HD and standard digital Cable/Sat) you should get on your provider to do the same.
I was going to post this to the board on andromedatv.com but when I saw a reply to a similar thread that said something along the lines of "They shrink it and add those stupid black bars" I decided that was not a crowd I wanted to deal with ... I am ENTIRELY fed up with Global airing...
Yep, I spent $5000 CAD on my Tosh 57HX81 that does not do 720p. My digital cable box upconverts everything to 1080i, so it's fine for that, but I play a lot of Xbox games that are 720p that I can not enjoy in 720p because the TV doesn't do it or convert it. I obviously was very unhappy when I...
I don't know how long it's been on their site or when the expected release date is, but Avia Pro is "Coming Soon", so it might be a better idea to wait for that rather than buying the original Avia now. I suspect it will have a 6.1 test pattern to calibrate rear-center channels on newer HTs, and...
It does look like the episodes Fox is airing are new because they are on in "Fox Widescreen." I suspect the previous versions of the show were not widescreen, as they recorded some time ago.
Bump. Priced the Philips at a dealer in Markham and I think we've decided against getting it because it's so expensive, so TV dealers in Toronto that don't carry Philips would be cool too. Thanks, Rob
Looking for good TV dealers in Toronto. I know about Great Met Sound and Bay Bloor but can anyone provide me with any others? I'm looking specifically for a Philips dealer, but any stores will do. Thanks, Rob
Anyone know any decent non-projection HDTVs other than the Tau and those new Samsungs? Those are the only ones I've seen and I'm having trouble finding any others.
Well, as I mentioned, I've got a Toshiba myself, and I'm less than impressed with it. I've also read a lot of reviews that complain about how the convergence goes after as little as 12 hours on most of their sets, and the 'touchfocus' just makes things worse ... This obviously would not be...
I got my 57HX81 at Great Metropolitan Sound near Yonge and Egg. Authorized Toshiba dealer, great, friendly and REALLY helpful staff. They pulled off an absolute miracle to get me the set and get it delivered to my place sameday when they didn't have one in stock. Best service I have ever had...
My parents have finally decided to upgrade their 10 year old RCA 27" TV and they've tasked me with researching and choosing between a few replacements they've selected based on price and availability. I've done what research I can, but I havn't found many reviews online at all, and of the few...
Yeah, I get *almost* the same problem here in Canada with my Rogers HD cable. My set is 16x9 and locks into 16x9 mode when being fed 1080i content from the cable box, so I can't zoom when it's SD content and I get black bars on the left and right. Unfortunately, the HD channels will not...
The optical cable is the only one that doesn't have an RCA connector. You won't have an optical output if all you have is the standard AV pack though. I know there is one on the HD pack, there might be one on the S-Video pack too, but I'm not sure.
Does anyone know of any satellite providers that have their satellites over the East coast, or even South-East? I live in an apartment and my only visability is NNE to SSE. Every satellite providers I've seen is South-West from Toronto. TIA, Rob
I'm starting this thread in the video game hardware section because I'm asking with regard to my Xbox, but I'm sure it could go in one of the other forums as well. My TV, like many, does 480i/p and 1080i. Many, MANY Xbox titles are 720p and are downsampled to 480p by my Xbox. Does anyone...
Here's their press release incase anyone hasn't yet seen it :

I just bought a 57HX81 but I'll be selling it either 4th quarter this year or 1st quarter 2003 to upgrade to one of these.
