The way I remember it, they didn't plan to do that from the start, so yes, it was kind of jarring. But they made it work, and it really upped the drama of the last two episodes.
Wow, I thought I was the only one that remembered this show. I was barely old enough to watch the Showtime version of this, and the I still remember the original Super Dave skits. I would buy this on DVD in a heartbeat, esp. if lined with genuine Saskatchewan seal skin fur for safety.
This is one of the few shows that I wouldn't mind being released with out original music. It has been so long since I've even seen the show, I wouldn't know the difference anwyay. Miama Vice, et al, that's different. MV was almost a music video.

The Second Year

In the realm of rumors this page: http://www.gateworld.net/news/rumorm...8526087,59690, says that MGM implied that season 3 of SG-1 will be released in January. This would be great news considering the 18 month wait between season 1 and season 2.
I bought All in the Family, and I will buy Mad About You. However, those are the exceptions, and unfortunately they are going to sit on a shelf un-watched, until Columbia announces a season 2 of something.
