Are there any plans to release the original NBC Columbo series (from the 70's) on DVD?? They are already out both in Japan and in Europe:

I think more people would buy Columbo than "Sanford and Son"!!!!!!!
thanks,
Jack
Image Entertainment released a few Marx Brothers movies on DVD, but they seem to have all but disappeared. You can't buy them anywhere, except perhaps on eBay. Doesn't WB own the rights to most of the Marx Brothers films?
Is Image planning a re-release or have they lost the rights...
Any word on the status of Bertolucci's "The Conformist?" I think it was rumored to be in production last summer.
How about the Shogun mini-series?
Thanks,
Jack
Mikel: Yes. Warner has officially confirmed that it is pan and scan only (according to the digitalbits and others). Also, as you can see from your posting of Amazon's product details, Warner has been claiming that it would be released both OAR and P&S. It was only revealed to be "P&S ONLY"...
Well, Warner has succefully created a resale frenzy of the OOP widescreen DVD of Willy Wonka. It is already selling for over $40 on ebay.
I'm sure it will hit $100++ over the next month. What a nightmare....(for those of us who never got our hands on the widescreen version, that is.)
According to dvdfile.com Warner Bros. has dropped the anamorphic widescreen version of Willy Wonka from the new disc and included ONLY a pan and scan version.
Can this be true? How can this be true? Please lodge your dissatisfaction with Warner Bros.
Put me down for Charly.
By the way, you can do a search on Amazon for Anchor Bay under VHS. This will give you all the Anchor Bay VHS titles they have at Amazon (1,195).
