Some of my favorites: - M*A*S*H - Six Feet Under - The Sopranos (Everytime I hear the HBO "white noisestatic" I expect the bass line for this to start) - Scrubs And kudos for the person that mentioned "It's Gary Shandling's Show" - I forgot all about that one.
Well, got an email today that the "Baby" Balrog shipped. Should have it in my grubby little paws on the 14th. Then I'll have nothing left on order . . . the horror! :)
Well, I've been exercising self-control for a while now in not buying any of the statues. This thread destroyed that in a few short minutes. :D Just ordered/pre-order: "Ringwraith and Steed" statue "The Balrog of Moria" new statue and "The Morgul Lord" statue And I happily blame...
If you enjoy the "retro swing" of The Squirrel Nut Zippers - I would recommend their "Christmas Caravan" album. A lot of the music is original. (to say the least) :emoji_thumbsup:
I found these two sites. The one looks a lot like the Restoration Hardware ones.

The few I currently want to hang up are:
Steely Dan - Aja
Roger Waters - Amused to Death (did it ever appear on vinyl?)
Led...
I was thinking - there are a ton of fantastic LP album covers out there - wouldn't it be a cool idea to mount/frame them and hang them on my office wall.
Has anyone done this? If so, any tips? (besides removing the albums first) :) I have to believe that there are bunch of people out there...
Sorry no, don't remember that one. But I remember some cartoon they did that had you being a super-kangaroo. And you would hop around through all kinds of environments.
Not much help, I know. :)

You get half-credit for "UHF" ;)
- it's actually for "Gandhi 2". :)
One issue that drive me nuts:
1) Madison has a lot of one-way streets downtown. So in this example I'm on a two-laned one-way street. Traffic is stop-and-start. I'm approaching a "+" intersection, but I can't make it through without ending up blocking the cross-traffic so I stop short. Then...
With the impending release of Transformers Season 1, I was feeling nostalgic and thought about the cool toys I had as a kid. (and lamenting on how toys and cartoons suck these days)
After thinking of Transformers, G.I. Joe, He-man, and MASK, I remembered a brand of toys that I cannot for the...
" . . . going to send you to the very best university . . . . . . . . . . . . in South Carolina."
"I will not be a Gamecock!!"
Quote might not be perfect, but close.
Another very good episode.
Is it true that certain states are making you claim it as income (for state taxes only)? Iowa is the only one I can remember hearing, and there was only a few.
Of course, this was a few months ago and things could have changed.
Yeah, and I would have been happy with them being the same thing until I hear that line from Gandalf.
If Uruk-Hai are a cross between Orc's and Goblin males, and Uruk-Hai are very much larger than Orc's - I would think Goblin's are supposed to be a bit larger too.
Oh well, a very minor detail...
This was discussed briefly before, but I'm hope someone has more info now.
Gandalf specifically says that Saruman created beasts (Uruk-Hai) from "orcs and goblin males". I thought that these were the same things until I heard that line.
So, does anyone know what each of them looks like...
Love the Eagles.
And since I grew up in Philly, I have to hate New York teams, especially the Giants. (just one of those obligations)
My most disliked team is also Dallas. Too many tough loses to them over the years.
Living in Wisconsin, the Packers' fans often make me sick (my wife...
Roger,
I put the DVD-ROM in the drive - installed the crappy software, QT5, and simply navigated to the proper place. Nothing special.
I am working from a perfectly clean machine (before QT and InterActual obviously) and have a T3 here at work so there are fewer hurdles for me to deal with...
I can confidently say that you can view the Large version with the free Quicktime 5.
I also was able to do so with all of Quicktime's settings at their defaults. This particular time I was using 98se.
Edwin - that animated movie that you are talking about was:
When the Wind Blows (1986)
Roger Waters, of Pink Floyd fame, did the score/music.
A very sad movie that I saw once over a decade ago. That I still remember it is a tribute to how disturbing I found it. (although I was only 13 or so...
In regards to the Clancy book . . .
It was the swearing-in ceremony for Ryan to be VP. He was on his way into the building when it occured. (apparently pre-sworn in - it's been a while since I read the book)
In a related note, CNN interview Clancy within something like 3-4 hours after it all...
Don . . . about how many DVDs would you estimate would fit in your cabinet from Lowe's? 200? 300?
That's pretty close to what I've been looking for.
Thanks.
