I recommend checking out Schoolyard Heroes if you want some really good goth/horror/rock (and a female lead signer to boot!) Incredible energy, some truly catchy tracks, and a great sense of the macabre. :) Thanks to others for some good pointers in this thread. I have some more bands to...
While I would buy even the barest bones set in a heartbeat, it would be even sweeter with some commentaries on how so much of the show has actually come to pass. :)
All I want is Max Headroom, the entire 14 episode run plus both the original British movie. That and The Tick (animated) would make my TV on DVD collection very happy. Aaron
So has anyone who ordered these gotten anything other than a "backordered" response? They were supposed to ship yesterday according to the website, but they're still listed as backordered when I go to check my order. I mean.... what'll we do 'till then??
If you go to Andy Hallett's website www.andyhallett.com, you'll be greeted with the following message (in a rather annoying popup). (Spoilered for those who consider cast information spoiler material!)

I have but three needs:
* Max Headroom
* The Tick animated series
* Family Guy
I guarantee at least one sale of each, probably more because I will tell all my friends. Isn't that enough incentive?? ;)

I liked the show quite a bit, and the more I think about it, the more I'm liking it. I think it's got great potential. I loved the juxtaposition of bluesy music with every shot of a spaceship. It's kind of refreshing after hearing every other show use big orchestral numbers. I liked that...
I don't see any audio sync problems on this disc at all. This is on my computer's DVD drive using PowerDVD 3.0.
And yes, the picture *is* anamorphic, at least on the version I have.

This is one of my favorite quirky comedies, and one of the few DVDs left to be released to replace my old video collection. Does anyone know who currently owns the rights to this one? And have there been any rumors about its eventual release?
I mean, come on -- Jeff Goldblum, Emma Thompson...
