Jack, your name rings a bell. Did you post at HTT too? Well 8/2/06 I was on a motorcycle ride in B.C. Canada with 2 friends. We were driving along a road staggered as motorcyclist ride. I was in the middle by the center of the road. A truck was going along in the shoulder with his right...
He he, thanks for remembering my Big Pig, I forgot the name. :-) One thing I remember is that it is hard to make big bass in a small package. Mark Seaton, that name rings a bell who is he again? Traumatic brain injuries suck, my short term memory is bad and I lost some long term stuff...
Title says it all , which of these 2 subs is the better bang for the buck? Being one who has built , hmm probably 10 subs and 2 IB set ups I have aquired a taste for good bass. Why not build another? That is a long story, in short I got a traumatic brain injury in a motorcycle accident...
I dont think ive ever though id love to hear a commentary from a DVD til the other day when seeing Pulp Fiction again and after the show I though that id really love to hear several commentaries on this film , the actors , Tarantino and more even. Its not my favorite movie but its a movie...
Hmm...well it was a refurbed unit to begin with , refurbed from Infocus and purchased from Staples. It had zero on it when I bought it ...Infocus apparantly resets the refurbs. I lost count but I think I had 1600-1800 on it. My bulb was not brand new either because I inspected the unit...
I hate parting with this projector because it produces a beautiful image and has served me well ..however I cannot afford a bulb right now since I just bought a small LCD TV and don't watch alot of movies in the summer and I hate to have it just sitting there. I will buy a new projector in...
Another speaker id consider would be a 5.25" driver configured MTM mini-tower type speaker or maybe even one that uses a single 5.25" driver. Ive always found Totem's little 5.25" 2 way towers attractive. http://www.totemacoustic.com/english...nding_hawk.htm Basically I need some...
Ok, that AV-1 looks about like something id like to build. But I wonder how a single AV-1 would do for center channel duty, anyone here use an AV-1 for center duty?
Well IMO Toy Story in HD would still look alot better but I agree with everyone that TS2 is as good as the current DVD technology can look. BTW has Toy Story 1 or 2 ever been broacast in HD on one of the major networks yet? Now I am not so sure why they spend so much time on these Toy...
I hear these are pretty good sounding speakers...ive love to make something similar.. http://www.av123.com/products_produc...s&product=23.1 Anybody got a kit out these days that might rival this speaker? I am looking to build a new front stage with these so a matching center would be...
I watched both the new SE and UTB versions of Toy Story 2 last night. I definately heard the difference, well at least the sound level was higher on the new version's DTS track compared to the DD EX version on the UTB. My first impression of the SE's PQ was that it was softer but cleaner...
Well I bought both of these for under $30 so here goes. The way I see it , if I gotta A/B a disc more than 4 times to be sure then i'll never be sure. :) Gonna view TS2 first as I just watched the UTB version the other day after reading this thread. So are the UTB extras on these...
Ok, well now I have to go buy these just for the sake of knowing where I sit these days in terms of things video wise...not only my equipment but my vision and interpretation. Sorry if I came off a bit pushy but I normally dont reply in this area as its not my main gig but I felt kind of...
I suspect the new version is different but is it better, is it how it was intented to be viewed? "smokes" is a HUGE leap past different so as far as I am concerned the new version would have to either be the accurate version or the inaccurate version if the changes are so dramatic...
Yes, yes I read your post. I posted because I dont belive you. ..I am entitled to my own opinion, no? Pretty much nothing you can print on paper will make me change my mind either...but if your that interested in doing so you can start by listing your display devices.
Until I see some A/B testing against the UTB then no way id every dip again on this movie. The UTB was in everyones list of the best DVD release ever when it came out. No way its better and the only way your going to see it is seeing screenshots of some very careful a/b testing.
Sounds good Chad, I might be up for trying out your product , I see something about initial sale prices on some of your new stuff. Would you mind filling me/us in on what all new drivers you will have and how much? Do you guys sell any amps? That 2 way with the ring tweeter looks intersting..
Still not sure what I am gonna do...no doubt the SPL-1000 is a killer sounding subwoofer but I am not so sure I want to invest $500 in one. Say Mike, do you have some pics of that HGS15? Id love to see what one looks like.
I cannot say that surprises me, I am sure the HGS15 amp plays a pretty big role in making that driver sound good. Same goes for the SPL1000..id not be buying the driver if I did not have the amp that goes with it. You still have that HGS driver? there is an HGS amp on Ebay now.
