George, don't let them bother ya. The HTF is firmly anti-horror to begin with. If they don't watch out, they'll become the 'Aint-it-Cool-News' of the online DVD forum community (actually, I think most people already see them as that) and nobody will take them seriously.
I'd buy No Holds Barred. It's a very crappy movie, but it has a special place in my heart due to my childhood. I remember seeing this one in theaters and absolutely LOVING it. :)
I'd love to hear a Hulk Hogan/Tiny Lister commentary on it. Maybe even Vince McMahon, since he was one of the...
Anybody but me catch this in the After Hours section?
In a "Build-a-Story" thread, (where someone says something and then you keep adding to the story and what not) I added a humorous section regarding Martin Blythe. As you can tell, it is clearly a JOKE.
"Isn't that Martin Blythe?" Steve...
I watched this show on Lifetime for the first time in a while today. Anyone remember any epidoses or segments in specific that you really liked or that really creeped you out?
The one about the ghost in a Toys R' Us store in California probably freaked me out the most when I was younger, but I...
"Don't worry Ray, everyone's got 3 mortgages nowadays..."
Carlo,
Haha...I love it when I can use some random movie quote in the context of a real life situation. The other day, I was at a stop light, when two state troopers zoomed by with their lights blazing. Before I stopped to think...
I'm happy that my Clue thread could be used for at least some good DVD news. I've never seen Saturday Night Fever but I've always been intrigued by it. I may just pick it up.
hehe. You know Mr. Blythe, you could always use this Clue thread to drop secret hints about what all is coming soon...
I'm gonna pick this one up soon, guys. I have it on VHS, and Warner needs to release more horror titles. I'm going to do my part. I suggest others do the same.
I've been wondering...how do you pronounce Emmanuelle's last name? Is it pronounced like "Baert" or like "Bart". See, I would think it's pronounced like the first, but then I got to thinking, well "Heart" is spelled that way and sounds like "Bart". But then I figured, that's not really a sexy...
"Isn't that Martin Blythe?" Steve interrupts, staring at a skeleton across the way, wearing a tattered business suit. It's being held by the collar by a lumbering, rotting, hockey-masked figure. Matthew responds, "Yeah! It is! He's barebones! And CUT for content!"
:)

A female friend of mine (not a girlfriend, but she was a girl and she was a friend) was in art class one day in high school. Well, I look over her shoulder to ask what she's painting. She had this little xerox copy of a photograph. I recognized her dad in the photo but I didn't know who the...
It's not that a trailer will always make or break a DVD sale for me. It's just that I like to see how the film was marketed. It's especially interesting to see trailers from older films.
Personally, I think more studios should add photo galleries to their discs, which include the US...
The webmaster of the site I mentioned (Justin Kerswell) e-mailed me and is excited that we're getting things started on this film again. Here's what he e-mailed me after reading my post here:
I did hold out some hope that the director may have an uncut 35mm master of the film but, according to...
I was able to invite director Patrick Read Johnson to the New Line chat tonight because I know from talking to him in the Ain't It Cool News chatroom before, I know how passionate he is about getting a Director's Cut of Angus out there to be seen by all the fans.
He couldn't come tonight, but...
Agreed, Christina. MGM has the best solution to this problem. Dressed to Kill was released with both versions.
Paramount could and should do the same for its horror titles. They wouldn't even have to advertise "CONTAINS ORIGINAL UNCUT VERSION" on the front of the box. Just in the small...
And, for anyone interested. Here are four pictures from the Director's Cut print that I found at that same website...

Very, very interesting indeed.
I started thinking about this title again last night and I was wondering if Mr. Blythe could give us some kind of update (not on a release date) but on the current situation involving the film's original Director's Cut print and restoration for DVD transfer.
How is the condition of the print...
I came close to buying Traffic tonight for 15 bucks at Walmart.
Does anybody know if the SE is a definite? If so, when will it be released? What all will be on it? I'd like to get this for 15 bucks, but if there's going to be a lot on the SE, I might just wait.
Can anybody shed some...
