If the game is to be 720p then I sure hope that the conexant chip is enabled to scale it up to 1080i for the 95% of us whose HDTVs can not display 720p
Yeah, Camp.. I meant to say ATI, not Radeon (Doh!) That Radeon 9700 sure is a mean card. It's going to be interesting to see if NVIDIA remains on top of the GPU industry.
They will just pop in the latest available Intel processor and NVidia or Radeon GPU, and you will have Halo running at well over 400fps in 1600x1200 resolution on your Xbox 2. And obviously they will be able to push much more advanced gaming engines with the new hardware that are not possible on...
Picked one up last night. They were all over town.. so much for any product shortages.
Fun game so far. DTS is weak, can't get widescreen mode to work when selected from the options menu (the map is still ovular rather than circular).
Soundtrack is the greatest, and some of the commercials...
What a letdown about the HOTD 3 gun not working with 480p.
I wonder if this is SEGAs fault (game not coded to support 480p with the light gun), or MadCatz fault (game coded to support 480p with the light gun, but light gun not built to support it).
When a game system features 480p as one of...
Count me curious.. I want this game, but want it to work with the light gun on my Mits 55857 in 480p mode.
If anyone has info on compatability with this model TV, I would appreciate it being posted here.
Thanks :)
Dome.. It must have taken me about a month or so of practicing, and then I think it took me somewhere on the order of 7 to 8 hours to get through it all one day. It was a long time ago, and I was a lot younger then, so my memory of the timeframe may be a bit off. But I'll never forget finishing...
Yup.. NES Ghosts N' Goblins was the hardest one that I can remember. It tops Castlevania and pretty much anything else with that style of gameplay as far as difficulty is concerned.
You also had to play through the whole thing twice in order to win the game. Horrible! Maddening! but sweeeet...
It has also been said that the X-Box can only render at up to 1024x768, which means that there will be no true 1080i games on the X-Box, only up-converted 1024x768 rez.
Dead link over here. What was the news?
No HDTV resolution is understandable once you have seen the game in motion and witnessed all the detail.
As long as it will be 16x9 and DD 5.1 I am happy..
..will it be 16x9 and DD 5.1?
Another thing I have noticed.. No Gibbs,
Shoot a corpse, and it simply gets blown back and remains fully intact, until it eventually fades out as a ghost.
What the heck happened to that guy? Did he forget about some of the films he directed? Some of his best films were based upon actual tragedies.. Am I missing something here?
I agree with Dave. In fact it would not supprise me if MS was losing less money per system after the price drop then they were losing at the system's launch last year.
It's because the games are running in 640x480, and with most HDTV sets you are going to see all of that resolution with no softening of the image. Look at a game running in 640x480 on your PC, you will see 'jaggies' there as well.
