I would rip out the wall and put some backer in. I know that my LCD mount requires it to be stud mounted. What I did was use a backer board. Something like (2) 2" X 12" one for the top and one for the bottom screws. What I did was glue 2 sheets of 3/4" plywood and fit them between the studs. And...
I am currently using McAfee It's free with Comcast. I did use AVG in my last system. If I use it again I think I'll buy it. AVG with Zone Alarm sound like a winning combination.
Hi Mark, I would agree with the other guys. Either wait and save up somemore cash. Or buy a modest reciever with two speakers and start from there. In time you can buy a much better sub then up grade as you go. This is the route that I took. And it took me over five years to get everything...

When I was deployed, I had both the Leatherman Wave and the Gerber Multitool. I liked them both and used the heck out of both while I was in the middle east. In fact I remeber using them to do critical repairs in the middle of a mission.
If you are active duty and move allot with family; I would recommend a 42"/50" LCD TV. They are lighter and more durable than Plasma and other TVs. But I don't like the LCDs that I have seen. But any TV is better than a broken one. However if you are a reservist/guardsman. Then get...

I'm sure that one of the forum's sponsers will have an amp that will fit your needs at a reasonable cost. if not try parts express, or Adire audio. And get a amp designed for a home audio subwoofer. In the long run you will be much happier.
