    Pearl Harbor DVD!! Speechless!!

Steve, so you ended up enjoying TPM in spite of it's flaws? So did I. I thoroughly enjoyed TPM as well. Or did you not like TPM.

    Pearl Harbor DVD!! Speechless!!

Bill, can you name all the horrible historical inaccuracies in Pearl Harbor that you claim exist? I'd like to know, because the attack sequence, the President's speech, and the Doolittle Raid are pretty accurate. The rest is mostly fictional drama. 1. The timing of the attack was presented...

Of course Palp is the bad guy. Everyone knows that. But I think you're dismissing Dooku. In fact, something tells me that Dooku will have a larger role than Palp, and more screen time as well. Palp certainly has a large role, but Dooku is well versed in the Dark Side. He's not some beginning...

It's not Ray Park. It's just a marine painting his face before being dropped into Afghanistan. He surely does resemble Ray Park. And his face paint resembles Darth Maul. This pic came from TFN. Just an interesting coincidence. Keiran, Palpatine was not necessarily the master.

I'd go see it just to see Natalie.

I agree. Regardless of the kid-friendly element, I really do like TPM quite a bit. As for the Lucas In Love DVD, I haven't seen that, but I've heard about it. I can only imagine. By the way, here's an interesting pic of a marine before he's deployed in Southern Afghanistan. Look familiar?

Well, I still say Lucas will end up having to put his altered versions of the original trilog, as well as the unaltered version of the OT on DVD. Maybe both on the same DVD. Either that or I'm kidding myself.

 Maul was a good character. I liked him and liked his look. I wanted him to have more screen time as well as more lines of dialogue to develop his character. But alas, he couldn't act, only fight. From what I've seen, the one thing about Episode II and III that make them so much better...

Is that one a 4 or 5 star scale. On a 5 star scale I would have to give Star Wars a 4.5 stars. The Empire strikes back would get 5 stars from me. Return of the Jedi would get 4-4.5 stars. I liked ROTJ as much as the others. The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite. A lot of people rank ROTJ...

I think that's a plausible two word description. As for Christopher Lee, he's gonna rock as Dooku. I can't even imagine him not being awesome. What's really gonna take the cake is the Vader reappearance. If anyone is interested in seeing some spoilers go to Terry's site or go here. They've got...

Well, that's that. The original STAR WARS trilogy is history I think.

Thanks Sam. Maybe in another decade I'll learn how to do that. Thanks for the info. I've got it down so I'll give it a whirl.

Star Wars is more sci-fi than LOTR. I see Star Wars being more sci-fi than fantasy. LOTR is fantasy with a touch of the medieval thrown in. Very different in my book.

"Popular animated series, into big live action movies

Out of all of those, Gargoyles would be the best one, and the one I'm hoping for. Even as an adult I enjoyed the Disney animated show Gargoyles. And I'm not ashamed to admit it. Good show. It would make the best movie. Although the gargoyles would have to be CGI. I can't imagine an actor playing...

I think Danny and I share pretty much the same opinion. We really like TPM, regardless of it's problems. It's not a bad movie per se. But it's not the movie Star Wars fans quite wanted. Episode II and III should remedy that. As for Jar Jar, I didn't have a problem with that character, only...

Will Pearl Harbor:Vista Series Director's Cut have DTS?

Why in God's name is the movie spilt between two discs? I thought that crap ended with Laserdiscs. And when did this DVD come out?

Are Yamaha receivers really that good???

The top of the line Yamahas are neutral sounding. The lower priced models are somewhat bright. But the very best Yamahas such as the DSP-A1 and the top Yammy reciever are neutral.

    Flagship Receivers

Well, in the case of B&K, they don't have but 2 models, and they don't differ that much in price and features.

I agree Brad. There were some problems with Episode I even though I throughly enjoyed it and though it was a good movie. Certainly not up to the originals. I really believe based on what I've read, seen, and heard, that Episode II and III will live up to the originals and be far superior to...

Hmm, not sure I agree with that. These are droids. They should be easy to defeat for the Jedi. Only thing that nagged me was Jar Jar's tomfoolery and Jake Lloyd's annoying acting. Some of his dialogue during the space battle was nonsense as well. But I throughly enjoyed the movie. Surely being...

That would be neat. I think the updated effects such as the Moss Eisley effects, as well as the update space abttles and explosions are actually very good. Those little effects touches really add to the movie. I just don't want him to add all these scenes which results in changing the character...

Actually, the Jabba scene is the worst ever. I've got a question. Has anyone purchased anything from allposters.com? Are they reputable? I'm looking to buy the Star Wars movie posters. Just need a little input.

That's a reasonable argument. However, I always had the feeling that Han was coming back. If you remember, when Luke said goodbye, Chewbacca looked up at Han and Han had an expression that sort of hinted that he would not leave.
