Funny, I've been reading these speculations for months.
Love to grab the last version before they close the platform and force me to
use their SSDs and memory. I wouldn't care about the optical going away.
Hopefully they solve the panel leak problem and get one out this year.
Hey guys - Thought I'd add
Set up a Black/Slate today. A full price model this time around. Sure enough, during setup 'Congrats Your iPhone is Unlocked'
Perhaps it's just me, but one item I hoped for was better telephone audio. The small improvement on the speaker is just enough to make...
Hey Guys - Been away for some time I can confirm Ron's findings. Lion doesn't break the things that matter in day to day use. On my end, Photoshop CS5 & Lightroom run fine. Epson Print/scan opps are OK. Some of the 'Features' are of no use to me, but I'm on a desktop. There are many new tidbits...
Strange - guess they think some people will choose the small board for looks? I'm guessing many will not notice until they open the box and have a lovely WTF moment before they call and complain. In spite of that, the new entry 24 is still the best bang on a Mac. A bump in processor, drive &...
Clearly, the act works when procuring the next caretaker. There are a number of reviewers that see this as a tender love story with the Vamp stuff as a sidebar. The act is working on them IMO ;) There are a few very subtle scenes when she acts very much like a wise old adult, but you're...
I'd say the latter. It certainly adds to the tragic circumstance in one sense. The US audience might let this twist knock them around. After a second view, I suspect Eli's selection process is well tuned after what could be several hundred years or more practice and not as random as it might...
I agree, it was good. My fav was Taraji Henson, but no problem with Winslet. Great to see Finch getting some long over due attention. There were one or 2 categories where I though Button was snubbed. The broadcast was indeed better this year.
Why Not - A Wild Guess Best Picture: Slumdog Millionaire Best Director: David Fincher for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Best Actor: Frank Langella in Frost/Nixon Best Actress: Kate Winslet in The Reader Best Supporting Actor: Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight Best Supporting Actress...
Funny, after using Photoshop for years, I thought iphoto was a little confusing at first. Once you 'Get' the interface things are easy. Try Some of the 08 links here Apple - Support - iPhoto The edit videos here are very straightforward - http://www.learningelectric.com/iphoto6/
Pre Leo, you could pin any window to open anywhere on the expanded desktop. It was a great way to have download or dialog windows open away from a main app window. In Photoshop, Logic, and in my case Freehand, having all that space for open tool windows made a world of difference. Using the...
I thought the AVP mess trashed the 2 series for life. Then again - never underestimate hollywood's desire to see just how much garbage we'll eat. They won't greenlight Rama, but perhaps Avatar will readjust a few of these cartoon directors.
There is something called dual GPU in certain cards (basically 2 cards on 1 board) I didn't have such a card. ;) If a single GPU can sync a dual link 2560 & a single link 1600 or 1920 at the same time, I get to lean something new.
Didn't work for me in the past, so I'll stand corrected if it works now. The system was a first gen MacPro with a Dell 30 & HK 23. The card was ati radeon X1900 dual link DVI. The highest i could get was 1920 with both connected to the same card. Ron can clue us in when he tests his pair.
The 19 yes, but the 30 will switch to match it - yuk A cheapo used card will push the 19 and net you the extra screen space. Might be a nice solution for now.
I had dual monitors for a few years - CRT and LCD. Loved it. You get used to the extra space for progress screens or other windows you'd like to have open or viewable more often. I have many friends in audio. None of them can live with less that 2 & the larger the better. Gloss is not accepted...
A 2nd 30 makes for a nice setup ;) The Apple 24s are way overpriced IMO. 2 Dell 2407s can be had for under 1000 new, and keep you in a respectable 1920 rez.
It is interesting. I must say, I've always considered a fart funny, but until now never dreamed it would generate money. Farts.com gave it their best, but little did they know - IPhone Apps: iPhone App Store Hits 500 Million Downloads, We Break Down the Numbers Love this chart and agree with...
I'm the same way. A favorite guilty pleasure. Yet again - Bill Nighy and Michael Sheen, so great actors in the leads. I hope Steven Mackintosh has a bigger part this time. His 2 scenes in the 2nd film were fantastic.
Agree - After the experience of the theater cut and it's broken delivery, the extended and it's documentary really give you the impression something was there. The studio cut him at the knees so many times, it's amazing anything made it to the screen. There are fantastic sections in the film...
I've been waiting for Apple to hold the larger events at 1 Infinite Loop for years. It's not like they don't have the resources for a big event at home.
Irony = You never purchased the songs, you leased them. Barring the extra 418, when you make it to that 5th or 6th Mac you'll feel the love (it's no entirely Apple's) I have a few as well.
