A friend of mine ran a 35' DVI cable from his equipment rack to his HD DLP projector when he had his house built a year or two ago. He has since upgraded to a new projector with an HDMI input and is looking at getting a new DVD player with an HDMI output. Given that the common link between the...
I replied to all the emails I received, but it looks as though my ISP's outgoing SMTP email server has been down all weekend. I guess I'll be using my hotmail account until the other email gets fixed; that address is [email protected]. I have only received one PM and have replied to...
A great remote that I programmed for my Dad last year - he has since upgraded to an RTI T2 and no longer has the need for this unit. Asking $60 shipped via FedEx (lower 48 only). Please email me with questions. I will accept certified funds or Paypal.
Sorry for the delay-- pictures can be seen by clicking on the below links: http://avisynth.org/tom/pics/Pronto_Neo_1.jpg http://avisynth.org/tom/pics/Pronto_Neo_2.jpg (not 56k friendly)
Bought this unit a year or two back for my dad for around $250. I finally convinced him to get an RTI, so this unit is no longer needed. The remote is in great condition and will ship in its original box with the manual, blank warranty card, software CD, and its computer hookup cable. Price is...

For sale is my beloved Classé Audio CA-150 stereo amplifier. This beast is extremely powerful while still retaining the smooth, musical sound that Classé is famous for. The amp outputs 150x2 high current wpc into 8 ohms and 'doubles down' into 4 ohm loads with 300x2 wpc. It can also be bridged...
Don't forget KEF's Reference line. But B&W cant say jack to KEF about the styling & tweeter placement on their speakers because KEF has been doing it since before the Nautilus line was out.
The new Earthquake 'SWS' subwoofer system logo looks kinda sketchy to me. You decide: Earthquake's "new" SWS subwoofer system. And what about this blatant rip of B&W's Nautilus Series? Earthquake is looking really shady to me here...
Might as well come clean and make it known that I work at the store I hinted at before, and we have the Paradigm Studio speakers in the same 2-channel room as the Viennas. I don't push the Viennas because they make me more money (which they don't...I often recommend them in lieu of more...
Make sure to check out the Vienna Acoustics Haydn ($1000/pr) bookshelf speakers while you're at it; I have heard all the speakers you mentioned save the Dynaudios and I would choose the Viennas over any of them. They have a surprisingly low extension (lower than the Studio/40s) for a bookshelf!
Agreed, but on the same token if you go and audition multiple times for a decent amount of time each instance, then buy the speakers on the used market, you've totally wasted his time. You have no idea how many people do this; I really hate to be mean to people but people who do crap like that...
I personally think the Studio Series v.3 speakers are really bright to the point of being harsh; I greatly preferred the sound of the v.2's to the newer ones, but YMMV. I think you need to find an authorized Vienna Acoustics dealer before you search any further into the usual brands. I would...
One major thing I looked at between the Sharps & the InFocus models is that the 7200 has built-in Faroudja DCDi processing whereas the Sharp projectors all lacked DCDi. But don't take my word for it...look at both units yourself and let your eyes decide.
i've done alot of comparisons lately and have concluded the Marantz SR-7400 to be my top choice in the ~$1000 price range. it really is a remarkable unit with good ergonomics and an even better sound. if nothing else, it's DEFINITELY worth adding to your shopping list!
you won't need much of a sub for your small room. a PS-1000 should be more than enough for your needs. also, i'd take the InFocus 7200 over almost any other projector in its price range. i've seen it in action many times it really is a superb unit. please also be aware that BenQ makes almost...
run the XLRs long. the signal is balanced, so the length of the cable is irrelevant. do a google search on differential circuits and/or the engineering behind balanced circuitry if you want to know exactly why this is.
the new Marantz SR7400 does the up-conversion correctly without any signal loss to my eye. then again, our unit has only been on the sales floor for about 3 days, so i haven't had time to fully evaluate this feature. i know the Integra line (from the DTR-6.4 and up) "converts all video inputs...
since when was Rolling Stone considered a credible source in the field of music? i mean, simply the fact that 'Straight Outta Compton' was ranked higher than a classic like 'Houses of the Holy' or even 'OK Computer' makes me want to vomit in a bag and mail it to them. Rolling Stone is to...
