Try eBay...... for example http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=1385590923
There are lots of them available at any given time. Enjoy listening to the Dorsey Brothers / Glenn Miller etc.

What's your budget? Are you computer savy? If you have an old PIII around, or can buy one cheap, you can turn it into an HTPC which will make a fantastic scaler / line doubler. Unless you have a desire to make your ears hemorrahage or sustain a concussion, I would think the 350 watt amp should...
Hello,
After playing 2.99 movies my CLD-S201 it has crapped out. I was watching the last 2 minutes of "The Client", when it suddenly began playing in extreme fast forward through the balance of the movie & credits to the end of the disc. It now seems to be unable to see read any disc, LD or...
Hello All,
Does anyone have an owners model for the CLD-S201? I bought this unit for $100 CDN (with 12 movies) to hold me over until Pioneer Canada gets my CLD-D703 fixed (don't ask:frowning: ).
I'd be happy to pay some kind soul to photocopy and mail it to me. I'm pretty impressed with how...
If it is the protective screen........and you do NOT have small children or evil pets......like my cats for instance, you might consider ditching the protective screen altogether......the picture will be better for one thing.....but, alas, any further scratches would be disasterous.
Consider the Panasonic TH-AE100. I use my Onkyo receiver as a video switcher for my S-VHS & laserdisc and satellite dish (non-HD) and feed it into a HTPC (computer), where it is de-interlaced and scaled, then out to the projector by VGA connector. You can get the projector (from Japan) and a...
Considering DIY? You can build 5 ACI Emeralds for about $860 USD delivered......if you have access to a plunge router, the construction of the cabinets is a snap.
I had a pair of speakers re-foamed(?) a few years back. It was relatively cheap and the speakers sounded great, although you can expect a break-in period just as you would a new set of speakers. There are several site that describe how to DIY it, although I'm not that brave.
If you're using the line level out (the .1 of 5.1) you can feed it in either the left or right channel, shouldn't matter with most sub amps, or you can use a splitter if you want, although it really won't make a difference.
Hello, I looking for an owners manual for a CLD-D703 laserdisc player. If anyone has any suggestions on where to find one, please let me know. Thanks, Greg
Just bought my 1st...CLD-D703.....gonna have a tekkie friend do the AC-3 mod for me......purchased 200 discs to go with it......man I'm enjoying this retro thing....now if I can only find a VIC-20 and a rubic's cube:)
Typically you can find an AC-3 RF demodulator on E-bay for $120.00. This will allow you to use almost any DD equipped receiver. BTW that's a great laserdisc player.....wish it were mine:) Tell your friend that if his receiver will decode DTS, that it passes through the digital out from the...
Do yourself a favour and consider buying quality used equipment. For $700 it's pretty hard to get something you'll be happy with in the long run (i.e. 2 yrs from now). You can often find some pretty good deals on the fore sale section of this site and that of AVS forum. Also, consider looking on...
Hello, Just a quick question regarding my newly completed DIY Tempest subwoofer. When I connect the LFE channel to the Adire AVA250 amp on the Tempest....do I need to use a Y connector...or just connect to one of the 2 channels? Thanks, Greg
Hello All, Well....the enclosure is built and it's time to connect Amp to driver. I know that it's supposed to be a simple feat....but can someone explain EXACTLY how I'm supposed to connect the two? I don't want to screw things up this close to the finish line. Thanks, Greg
Hello All, I'm thinking of purchasing a laser disc and a large number of LD's to fill out my HT experience. As I know zip (or less) about LD's, I thought I'd look here for help. Here's what I need to know.... 1. What models of LD players should I consider....I'd rather pay a reasonable...
It makes quite a difference with my projector. The VGA allows for more tweaking of the picture....It also allows me to use a VGA switcher to hook the satellite and HTPC to the projecter and only use a single cable......no switching of inputs that way. HTPC can perform perfect pixel mapping...
I have the AE100 and at 12 ft the screen WIDTH is 96". It's ceiling mounted and the top of the screen is approx. 3" higher than the height of the centre of the lens from the floor. I sit approx 12' back and with slight defocus and the use of HTPC (perfect pixel mapping) the picture looks great...
Fabulous looking sub! That's the same design plan that I have decided to build, even as far as the mounting the amp on the side of the enclosure.
Where did you find those legs? they look great....and how did you fasten the trim? paneling adhesive perhaps?
Thanks
Greg
Hello All,
My Tempest just arrived by Canada Post today. It appears to have been shipped from the dealer in the original shipping carton provided by Adire (seems well packed).
Anyhow......when I opened it up to take a looksee I noticed that part of the outer ring of gasket like material is...
thanks for the advice guys........if anyone sees a post concerning an HTPC built for the AE100 please let me know....I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel here.......i'm terrified that i'll build something where several of the HW/SW components have huge conflicts and I'll have to spend months...
Hello All,
As an ignoramus in the area of HTPC (and many other areas),I need help in designing a HTPC for use exclusively with a newly purchased / soon to be delivered
Panasonic PT-AE100 projector.
I have an Expressvu 6000 HDTV receiver, S-VHS deck, Onkyo DD surround receiver which I would...
Nick,
I followed the link to AVS forum as posted above. Check this price out! I could fly to Japan with the money I saved.

Hello guys,
Well the HT is going well and I'm thinking of taking the plunge and purchasing a projector. I only have a budget of $3,000 USD to spend on it though......can I get a decent projector for that? I would go with a homemade screen until I had the $$$ for a proper one. here are a few...
Hello,
The walls in my soon-to-be basement HT are already drywalled. Since I don't want to rip them out, I was wondering if anyone had an idea on what I can do to increase sound isolation. I'd prefer not to lose 3 1/2" required with the "room within a room" thing per wall....but would really...
