Chris, It's good to see you going all the way with your sound system.I have not heard any other of the SVS subs,as a matter of fact I didn't hear the 25-31 PCi either until I bought it.I had some people over for a demo one night and we selected the Pod race from Star Wars and I had the volume...
Mark,
I own the 797 and love it You can purchase it at bestpriceaudiovideo.com for $729.00 plus shipping. They are an authorized dealer. Good luck Michael
I have to agree with Russell the Diva's are the best speaker I have heard in a while. I was just included in a sound audition that a friend of mine gave for a friend of his that was looking into doing a new home theater in his home.We went to three houses with slightly different systems ,but all...
Chris,
Welcome to one of the best sites for info on sound and a great deal of raw enthusiasm for owner products.I too took a great deal of time (almost two years) and alot of reading to make my choices.I am very pleased with what I settled on(25-31 PCi) I had a friend over for a demo of my...
I own the 4.1 set up and to brake in the rear 2.1 I set them up in my son's room and had him play music through them for a couple of day and nights as he likes to play music all night when he sleeps. I spent a couple of hours in there listening to my music and I thought they sounded sweet I also...
I have heard the Jbl 38 in best buys and I thought they sounded the best of all the JBL's there. I was going to purchase them but went with the Diva 4.1 and am very pleased with my choice I have owned JBL speakers sinse the mid 70's They are a good sounding speaker, but I prefer the sound of the...
What if any is the difference between Digital Coax Line and 12ga. speakerwire for hooking up to powered Sub. I have about a twenty foot run to my new SVS 25-31PCi. I don't want to impede the signal or degrade it
Hi Kyle,
The way I understand this is that the remote sensor will turn on your receiver from the room that you are in ( (Zone2) Read page 22 of your manual, see if that helps
Just got my notice that my 25-31 PCi is on it's way and I can't wait. This will be my first sub.Now if only I could get confirmation from AV 123 about the 4.1 set . My receiver came last week Onkyo 797 . Life is good
I can't really give my vote based on experience but I just ordered the same Diva set up as you and it was a little out of my price range but I couldn't pass up a good deal I also ordered the SVS 25-31PCi It should be on its way any day now and it also was out of my price range but the same thing...
I suggest you try bestpriceaudiovideo.com Look under the receiver section and you will notice speaker wire within the receiver discription I just purchased 12ga. oxigen free for .36 cents a foot thats $18.00 per 50 ft. roll Its very fine stranded copper wire
I just orderd an Onkyo 797 from bestpriceaudiovidio.com for $729.00 in stock I have been looking for quite a while and I think this is the best receiver in this price range
Hi All I am considering getting the Onkyo 797 and am curious as to what the THX stands for ,is it an improvment over non THX or what? Thanks Michael PS whose got the best Price anyone know
Thanks PF,but I don't have these speakers yet. I will not get them for another month. Back order. I was hoping to have a good Receiver here when they arrive. My current receiver is Pioneer ,very low end.
If you own Diva's tell me if you will .What are the sound characteristics of these speakers (warm, bright,in between) What are you driving them with(Receiver). Anyone out there using the Yamaha RX-V2200,RX-V1200.Denon 3802,2802.I am trying to decide on a receiver.Have Diva's 4.1,2.1,C-3 SVS 25-31PCi.
I am looking into purchasing a new Receiver in the coming weeks and would appreciate your input. I like my music bright with plenty of bass.I am considering the Denon 3802-- Yamaha ? in the same price range I have not had a chance to hear the Yamaha's I have been told they are very musical.I...
John thanks for the advice I have been hearing some good things about the H.K. I also read a post about the Denon.s that was not too favorable with regards to music and I think that they are a bit over priced.
I am looking to replace my current receiver.I just ordered the Diva.s 4.1,2.1 and the C-3 also the SVS 25-31PCi. I have about $500.00 to spend.I would like some feedback from any who own these speakers I am concerned about the 6 ohm for the 4.1s .Will I have to set all the speakers to the same...
MY two cents Go with option two with the svs 25-31PCi.You can't go wrong I demoed the JBL's in Best Buy's and prefered the S-38's over all the rest.I am a long time fan of JBL ,have had them for almost 30 yrs. They still sound good L-36's.I am also looking into the Divas they are getting a...
I like you have been JBL since the 70's I still have my L-36 speakers that I just refoamed. They still sound great I am looking into the S-38 ,S-center and surounds I would suggest you look into the HSU-VT2 sub or the all new 25-31 PCi that is due to come out soon I just think that the sub is one...
Sorry for the confusion Jedd I Didn't say you could get one for $500.00 I said I was looking in the $500.00 range (HSU) and is the SVS worth the price difference. I also know that you can't get one (SVS) now but they will be out soon and was wondering if there was a significant difference in...
Last week I had the opportunity to take some C.D.s to an A.V. store.I listened to NHT,B&W,and Klipsch all on Yamaha,Kenwood receivers.I was not overly impressed with anything until I went into this one room with Klipsch RF-5.I was totally blown away with the sound that was coming from these...
Sanjay, I can only add that from my personal listening of these speakers in the store.I would choose the S-38 as to my ears they sounded the best and it is important that your speakers be timber matched across the front.I am not sure if it is that critical across the back. Good Listening Michael
