Considering the dvd commentary is by Russell with Barry Sandler (writer/producer) just as on the laser, I would think it is definitely the same commentary.

Themed sets definitely! A season boxed set for an anthology show with no continuity is pointless and just too expensive.

I doubt if SPIRITS OF THE DEAD was a Criterion release they would have included the proper English dub for it either. Criterion just released Fellini's 8½ without the English dub.

In addition to not playing on my dvd player, it also won't play on my computer's DVD-rom drive, must be a bad batch.

Mine won't play on a Philips/Magnavox 825.
